- This show is the 1990 $150,000 Bowling Shootout at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Two lanes were constructed in their convention center for this event. Bowlers competing are Lisa Wagner (LPBT), Marshall Holman (PBA), Brian Voss (PBA) and amateur Randy Webster (he won the spot to compete). Money is awarded to the bowler who wins each frame. One tie/all tie and the money is added to the next frame. Jay Randolph and Earl Anthony are the commentators for ABC Sports World. Thanks to Sam Lantto for changing this to an MP4 format to show on UA-cam.
Talk about blue balls. 50,000 dollars on the line with Voss up in the 9th and the video ends lol
The always lovable and very congenial "Magnificent Marshall" demonstrating his competitive professional bowling skills. With grace and also focus.
Whatever happened to Randy Webster!!!
Love Caesars AC. my Home away from Home!
How come this wasn't held at the 60-lane Showboat bowling alley right there in AC?
Caesars and the Showboat appeared to be competitors in 1990 (this would change 8 years later, when Caesar's acquired the Showboat). I'm sure Caesars management preferred paying Brunswick to install two lanes in their own casino, rather than paying their competitor for the use of their lanes (not to mention the publicity).
The video ended before the show finished! So who won???
I just stumbled upon this video. I was at this tournament (couldn't find me in any shot) and I was also wondering why the ending was cut off. From what I remember, they got past the 9th frame in a tie, not sure if Webster and Voss threw a strike or spared out. The 10th frame was $125,000 and from what I remember (and not sure of the order), Voss threw a strike, Holman and Webster didn't and it came down to Lisa Wagner who threw a nice shot and left a solid 10.
@@AJCioffi So Voss took it.
@@nordattack Yes, I believe $125,000 for that part of it.
@@AJCioffi Holman first left a 3-6-10 made it, Webster made his spare, Voss struck and Lisa left a 7 pin
Voss threw the ball the worst that game and won the most by far
