I remember going to the first D23 Expo. In my family, I’m the Disney fan-the movie guy, the kid who “wastes” money on collectibles. Being homeschooled and touring with my Dad, I didn’t have many friends, never really met people like me. But at that Expo, I was surrounded by them. It was strange… but also reassuring. Made me feel like I wasn’t alone. My Toy Story collection is one of my prized possessions, so seeing someone else appreciate it the same way is so surreal-but it also makes me feel like I ain’t crazy, lol. I envy that Rex and Utility Belt Buzz. I’ll never forget walking into my local Walmart and seeing so many of those Buzz figures. I didn’t have much money at the time, but I figured, “There are so many of these, they’ll never be worth anything.” If only I had a DeLorean, lol. Somehow, I managed to get Bonnie’s plushies. Maybe one day, I’ll track down a Rex; I still don’t like the Potato Head, lol. But thanks for sharing, brother-this video was therapeutic. 🙏🏼♥️
You’re never too old to have fun! I’m glad you still collect them. For me this was the reason I started collecting toys. It means a lot also to know many collectors exist for this nostalgia. Thinkway is no longer in business they lost the license couple years ago and ird not known if they're trying to come back, mattel has the license at rhe moment and theyre more known to make smaller sets sadly we fans may just be stuck with custom makers which is risky

I am really interested in what they will do with the Woody dolls for toy story 5. Will they still cheap out with the prints on the body and making plush Boots instead of plastic. It kind of worries me how toy companies have fallen in the quality for Woody dolls per movie

These Toy Story collection toys made not be 100% accurate like Woody, Potato Head, or Buzz, but they are still perfect replicas and representations of how they are in the movies. Looking back now? Unbelievable prices. However, I plan on getting a White Logo Woody (real demin jeans) and Cloud Buzz which is my goal this year since I have work next week. ^^ Thinkway Toys will be deeply missed since they have defunct. 😢
@@todayigrewup Facts. And besides, Mattel doesn't seem to have the best quality as Thinkway. All they had is lack of paint, and every single detail they missed. Disney Store comes close to being the best. Especially when they released the new Jessie, Woody and Buzz figures. (No more Toy Story 4 phrases) and the 2019 Glow in the Dark Buzz. But Toy Story Collection will always be number 1 to me. (I hope to get Cloud Logo Buzz and White Logo Woody)
I think your collection is great and so happy for what you love cause I love and want the toys to but I tthink were im sorta a diffrent field on what accuracy really is ans whats worth customizing about it cause 1 I dont have any nostalgia to this collection line at all I just don't remember any of these so I have close to no desire for what the boxes just are cause in my point of view we dont even know if they're even accurate to toy storys world i dont care what lasseter says they have to be seen in the movies to be accurate for me nowhere else like the aliens they dont have a box theyre just a squeak toy out of an arcade at most, same with ducky and bunny theyre just stuffies and I think for me the biggest problem for me is collection line toys just werent made right which takes alot away from me to want to pay that much for them theyre technically more accurate without the box I really only want to put that big of money into a toy that was done with they right face and pose i woukd just get the boxes signed by who ya can at most
Yeah for me the collection line is the reason why I collect Toy Story. It was very important for me. Movie accuracy is cool but I prefer officially licensed products a little more personally.
