The MC spoils this mix. He is trying to sing (badly) over vocals. It doesn't work. More minimal or reggae type stuff is ok with an MC , but this mellow,jazzy,deep, soulful vibe does not need someone shouting "it's a bubbling ting" or trying to add out of tune backing vocals over the top of calibre.
One of the best producers in the game for the past decade imo, lovely track selection too.
