Hey! As promised here is my opinion on the best support champions for season 15, with some explanation, hopefully this video can help you decide your support pool! As always feel free to ask me anything 😄
It is heart breaking to me to hear Sona described as a "lose lane win late" champion. Prior to her 4.13 gutting, or what riot called a rework, she was the laning phase queen between actually having auras that provided constant stat buffs on top of doing more than tickling enemies and healing damage with spit and duct tape. Seeing her current state is a tragedy to me when I remember what she used to be. Its even worse when you consider riot made Yuumi to be the "newbie friendly" support when Sona's original version filled that role infinitely better and without being toxic garbage.
I feel you, I have been playing since S2, and loved Sona pre changes, not a lot of options like today, but she was for sure better than now. I doubt they will change her any time soon sadly
@CoachKarakal likewise S2 is when I started as well, and yeah, I don't hold my breath for anything to really change about her. After all, they wanted to remove auras....except for all the auras still in the game to this date. Honestly, I still hold that they had no clue what to do with her they just knew they didn't like her, and so they changed her into the garbage she is now. Sadly, wildrift actually gives a good example of what she could be with just a little thought. Her ult there is a big pulsing circle that has a persistent effect while it lasts, and I'm literally screaming for Riot to realize that is the perfect thing for her other abilities. Create the area around you and damage/heal/MS boost someone on cast and then recast to shoot the AoE away from you and cause allies who stand in it to get buffed in some way. Suddenly, Sona is a defensive zone control support who operates by providing areas of increased power for her team. Hell you could even have a modifier in which the areas are weaker the further away they are from Sona like music is the further it is away from.its source, so she is still encouraged to be in the fight and it makes sense thematically, but allow her ult to both provide the stun/slow while acting as another anchor so to speak by which she can buff her auras she gives to allies. Would be far more engaging and thematic compared to the trash she is now.
Hey, thank you! I do have one: ua-cam.com/video/NJmAh-qcsE0/v-deo.htmlsi=PpxSSiDN-tydzmoT here I talk about what you have to do in soloq to close out games, maybe its to general about other roles, I will work in a support specific one in the future for sure, let me know if you have any questions on that one or helped
I kind of get the feeling that enchnaters are taking over this season, maybe its just me, but im finding more sucxess with them than classical engages/tanks/mages
@@johnwick9367 if things stay like this and not a massive item/rune change like Aftershock being broken then it will stay like this and its a good sign for supports
I am an enchanter player and the exact opposite worked for me so far this season. I returned to the game in split 3 last season, got to diamond 4 from bronze 1 (new account, my original rank was emerald 4 over a year ago) with 72% winrate mostly playing lulu and milio. I play rell (and sometimes leona) now because the early game impact is so much higher. I absolutely love sona and would love to play her but find securing feats to be so much easier with rell. Managed to get first blood off an invade or after hitting lvl 2 most games. I'm always there to contest objectives and thanks to e speed buff and being mounted, I'm with my adc within 30 seconds again. My winrate with lulu is going down this season so I only pick her when I have a hypercarry on my team. Enchanters can't dominate early game in mid to high elo as well as hard engage supps at the moment but I only played 50-60 games so far so this might just be my anecdotal experience. My games end very quickly and I don't feel like I can even get to the stage in the game where enchanters shine before the nexus explodes.
i play a lot of blitz and i always get adc fed hit most of my hooks but that late game drop off is so hard because you can hook someone onto your team and lose the fight like a diana so i now only pick him into at least 3 ranged people on the enemy team
Hi, Coach! As always awesome video, I really love to see Lulu and Soraka in that S+ tier. In fact, I'm planning to play both of them as my champion pool this season (I ended up in Plat IV last season and right now I'm in middle gold elo after placements, expecting to reach at least Dia IV this season). Although I'm really convinced about my decision, I have some questions/suggestion which I would thank to hear about your thoughts: - Does it make sense for you to have a 2 champion pool of the same type or will you be recommending to pick 1 of each type (3 in total aprox.)? I have the feeling that maybe is worth it to master one support type learning how to play each match up, but I'm not really sure about that. - In which situations would you recommend to play Lulu or Soraka? I feel it makes sense to play Lulu when you have an hypercarry and Soraka with any other ADC, but I don't know if I'm missing something you think I should consider. - In order to be as consistent as possible with your content (which at the moment I'm really loving it), would it make sense for you to make a Soraka guide (taking the one you did for Lulu as an example)? I'm re-watching your videos and working on my support fundamentals, but I feel I'm missing some Soraka concepts that could improve significantly my gameplay with her. Thank you for all the educational content you bring us and I Will be updating you with my progress. Good luck with your climb in this season 15 beginning :)
yes I remember your comment in the other video! Great stuff, you make me proud! 1) 2 champion pool is totally fine to climb, if thats your objective even if they share the same playstyle its totally fine. Its actually better because both do similar so you have better practice. 2) I would always look to play Lulu with hypercarries like you say also Soraka is good with champions like Jhin (and Lulu doesnt like to play with Jhin), also Soraka is great if you have 2 frontline champions/bruisers to heal up in fights. 3) I'm not a Soraka player myself so I can't promise a Soraka guide any time soon, but a Soraka guide will be out in the future for sure. I will look into more educational content around low mobility champions so it helps with Soraka players as well! Thank you for taking your time to watch the videos and write a comment, keep me updated how your climb goes!
I will play her today actually! Was thinking what to pick up, and Janna was my otp in s6/7 and she looked really strong when I played vs her yesterday. What are you building on her and runes?
Hello. Quick question. I only play around plat 2-4 but a thing i noticed as a Thresh main is how heavy i have to roam in order to try and play for topside obejctives early. Seems like swapping top and bot would be very good and would require supports to roam shorter trips and top lane could always have teleport to help out. Am i looking at this all wrong?
swapping botlane to toplane for voidgrubs thats what you mean? It is really good and done a lot in competitive when you have a Weakside toplaner that can 1v2 without getting dove (Ornn, Gragas...) in soloq it requires more coordination and most players mess it up even in diamond elo
Hey! Do you have any videos or any recommendations for videos for Senna or Seraphine? I two trick them rn in Bronze but would love some guidance on how to go about laning phase and later in the game but it's hard to find
@@isabellarees7354 hi! I do have a Senna guide and I would recommend you to watch my "3 must know fundamentals" video. Seraphine I dont have content yet about her but will post in the future for sure, my Lux video can help you with your Seraphine laning phase and later on midgame positioning
I started playing Milio recently, been having a great time. I’m trying to get out of iron for the first time, really struggling. Hes been much more consistent than my old champs (Morgana, yuumi [im so sorry], etc)
@@Yama_VT dont be sorry you have changed haha Milio is great, as I said you wont win everygame because enchanters dont work like that, but if you get good at him, specially in fights you will climb

Oh true Hwei mmmh probably "dont play" in low elo, difficult kit and playstyle (no mobility etc) and A tier in High Elo, can change if buffed/good items/adc meta
maybe some frontline engage like rell/ali/naut/leona can always be usefull. You got follow up (Rakan), AD carry (Senna), pick (Thresh) , and Bard thats unique playstyle. Depends also of your elo and if you want to cover every possibility, most soloq teammcomps do lack engage/frontline. Also Seju/Mao if you like more off meta picks
love the content so far since i subbed a month ago, I love taric and i didn't know why he wasn't played. getting kited was probably why. but since trying pyke out and having fun ive been wanting to play swain since i know how fid ult works. Not a support, but I'm really loving aurelion sol, since he's somewhat of a tank but a pokey mage as well. In the low-knowledge form i play at now, it makes the small engages turn into my team's favor when i spam all my abilities after ult on a teamfight. Mel seems amazing but since she's new, it is possible to be nerfed or change. I mean, Taric ult on W? seriously? Taric ult, on top of Jax reversal mechanic! ITS INSANE and whenever even a low elo team knows how Taric Works, it's over. Free barons, free stuns, it's great. I just don't have answer to knowledge checkers and kiting. But one game at a time.
@@randomness4272 yes exactly if your team knows what Taric does its so nice, sometimes it happens (like good adc 🤣) so you have to enjoy it. Im glad you like the content, I will for sure post some Pyke content in the near future. Also I think Mel can be played support, I will find the way
@@s1stemique simplicity, support role is unique and complex with all the things you have to do. Enchanters make everything simple in game, so thats why its great to climb
@CoachKarakal I get that, but It seems like this early season there is an enchanter supremacy more than ever. The only positive winrate engage in plat+ is rell. Im talking about mid elo mostly low plat to mid diamond. Why enchanter are SO good this early?
@@s1stemique enchanters stats are strong early game, all of them, thats why sometimes they are played in sololanes. This Season is intresting and the games are really chaotic with the Noxus theme and i can finally grind on Yuumi. (Due to me being a Yuumi main probably this coment get deleted but ill still hang around on the Discord server) Anyways have fun and wish you good day to whoever reads this
In low elo, like iron and bronze, lulu or any enchanter are highly dependent on the team and you can get really awful teams where you just don't have a fed player to follow and buff. I had games with sona exactly like that. If you play an engage, prepare to not have any follow up. You just go and die. Maybe you can play rakan here? I love to play maokai and malphite when the enemy team is full ad. It works. In the end, you just pick your poison and hope you get at least 1 good player.
@@fmachss yes but enchanters are better in lane and safer as well. If you know how to play lane with them and get a lead you can scale faster (spike) and make a big difference, obviously every pick has a downside. Thats why you souldnt expect more than a 70% wr even playing really good
