Mountain Rats , Pirates, Ghost unit , Ghostly platoon are some nickname of 9 Para sf battalion
The name Mountain Rats is given because of their Impenetrable cover deep in forests and mountains and their nature to operate at night
The name Ghost unit or Ghostly Platoon (Bhutiya Paltan ) is given by their enemies ( terrorists) while the later one is given by other units of India special forces and army after seeing the type and nature of work they do ( their unique style of operating )
