This video did not properly convey the message and may not have that great of an impact, but good effort. Take a moment to educate yourself. This is not a cult. This is a fact. We as global inhabitants have a global responsibility to be involved with the world. In today's globalized world we are in the most advantageous era to gain momentum through this emerging global community. Everyone can make an effort to contribute to our planet whether it is trying to heighten awareness of those around you or personally taking action by changing behaviors or take steps to becoming a leader and connecting us all to preserve the only world we have. PEACE be with all of you.

It doesn’t seem as though she is intending to recruit, but to explain how she herself became the Global Citizen that she defined. It seems obvious to me that she is nervous, because she gets derailed here and there.
It could be better, but she did convey the purpose of her intent.

As a proud American, let me give an example of 'global citizen'. When a guy from a farm in the Midwest is called into military service, across the seas to a place who could not afford to go to on his own, and land on a beach and is fired upon because he is with fellow Americans who are going to free the world from tyranny. This guy losses his life and is buried in a cemetery in France. Yes, I am referring to WW2. Though he probably never heard of the term I would think that is the ultimate global citizen act.

I aspire to take on Global Citizenship, but I never TRULY thought about the different cultures that I can meet here in USA.
I’m going to search for members of this organization here is America to potentially tag along with.

world citizen definition: In broad usage, the term global citizenship or world citizenship typically defines a person who places their identity with a "global community" above their identity as a citizen of a particular nation or place.

That is the short and sweet of it. But yes you are correct.
You must know what the Latin word for Citizen means and its source from the Justinian Code (Roman law. or Civil Law.) "Citizen" is a juridical personality to entrap people into being classes of subject in law. Which impose obligations, privileges and duties to pay tribute to their masters.

Humanity, a race of people that inhabit the planet Earth also known as The World.
Therefore Earthlings are Citizens of the Planet Earth also known as World Citizens.
Take a page from Science Fiction, "Citizens of the Planet Earth. We come in peace. We mean You no harm. We are here to help You...."

  • @Ravisankarji

Very poor presentation. Global citizen is just a concept without actual empowerment. It is not something like, I am from a village but belong to a State and a country. My country citizenship gives me right to make decisions about my country policies. but Global citizenship doesn't provide any such thing. Global citizenship is just a feeling and a dream, yet to become a reality. It does not bring people together for a common cause.

    • @tiffmeek

The entire global community is coming together to demand from governments that action be taken on climate change. This movement is an example of global citizenry - when people no longer prioritise the needs of the people of their own country, but instead prioritise the needs of the entire planet. There are many global organisations the have great power and influence on the political stage - such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation. These organisations are an example of global citizenry in action. To say that global citizenry is a dream, is as nonsensical as saying that citizenry in our own country is a fairytale. It simply isn't so.

I love to travel, but I learend traveling is very expensive. Thinking having a degree will change your life, for good, you will be able to find a better job and many doors will open for you, but im finding out that's not true. I guess is not what you know, but who you know, because it's been over a year that I graduated, I been put many applications all over the internet, I find out I'm not qualifies for most jobs, although I lower my standerd. The jobs I was applying was administrative assistance. My B.A degree is on business administration & managmant. So how we are supposed to gain experince, when no one gives you n oppertunetly or a change to apply what we learned in college, although I have over firve years of experince on administrative & managmant.

Wrong. The label "citizen" implies position or status (straw man) in relation to legal contracts with another entity. It is not, "you" per say, but actually your 'status' due to an agreement. Saying you are a global citizen implies you are subject to the laws and regulations of a governing entity that controls and regulates the entire world. Some called that the New World Order, some call it the Antichrist, etc., etc. In the historic and mythical (ancient lessons of wisdom communicated from the past in numerous methods and forms that is based on actual history that was lost, forgotten, misinterpreted, altered or destroyed), world domination and control by a few, never works out well for the people of the world. Its never the kumbya these people project it to be. Because, well, human nature. People of power want one thing: more power. That's how they got power in the first place, by always wanting more. So the guy who is a megalomaniacal sociopath, isn't going to just stop having that trait when he finally rules the entire world. He's not gonna just say, "okay, that's it, I'm cool. Did what I came to do, now I'm gonna go home and chill out". No, he's going to keep pushing more and more of his control over his subjects to the point that the only way he can get his power fix is by controlling people's literal existences. Literally deciding who gets born and who gets to stay alive. Think of the psychology or pathology in world leaders, how historically Ceasar would be the one giving the thumbs up or down, deciding who lives and dies as he makes people fight to the death just to be entertained. That's not the rare or remarkable pathology of world leaders. Its the norm. It's how they get to be world leaders at all. They're megalomaniacs and narcissistic psychopaths. But again, that's just human nature. It's really sad when you think about it. That it's just so common while so very f-ed up.
