6:55 Burn cuts the damage of your Melee attacks by 50%, not the Melee attack stat. Therefore Burn does decrease the damage of moves like Battering Ram and Body Crash.

the burn does affect the melee defense moves because like pokemon, burn cuts the base power of the move by half, not the stat of the loomian. since body crash and battering ram have base powers, their damage is calculated after burns base power drop.
