At the end of WW 2, the United States should have told France to pound sand and start the process to give Vietnam the right to self govern. Instead the U.S threw The Vietnamese back under colonial control and even allowed the Japanese to police the Vietnamese until France could get back into the country. What occurred then was to further the bonds between Ho Chi Minh and communist China which the U.S. was well aware of instead of working with Vietnam and help rebuild the country such as the case was with Japan and Germany. Now today, Vietnam has become an industrious country if not a capitalist country in many respects despite the communist government’s in control. They have actually opened an automotive plant outside of Raleigh NC. although it has not financially been viable yet.
Great work
