- NEON staff scientist Keith Krause introduces the theory and use of full waveform LiDAR. Waveform LiDAR is one of many data products available for free from over 80 sites across the United States from the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON). All data products are available from the NEON Data Portal (data.neonscienc...). Learn more about NEON and NEON data products at www.neonscience....

I have just start ed a job in aerial surveying as a navigator and operator and i have been very interested in the way it all works. i kind of had an idea in the basics of how it works but this video was very informative and showed me a lot special in the theory side of things. i use the older Optech Gemini and newish Galaxy and its nice to see the difference between the full waveform and the more primitive peak detection in the Gemini. awesome work
@Khyle Atkinson Glad the video gave you more insight into the instruments you operate. If you're interested in learning more, check out our full playlist of presentations and videos on remote sensing techniques: buff.ly/2gV3Rkm
Very informative & to-the-point all issues were explained - excellent presentation, thanks a lot!
Thank you! Glad you found it useful.
Really amazing! Thanks for uploading!
Glad you found it useful!
Can someone tell how to read the waveform data?
I guess I'm just an average idiot because this sounds like a foreign language to me.
