I remember reading this when I first got into comics. I had to read it digitally and buy the quarterly issues because they weren’t online. I’m glad to see them all collected in 2 Omnis.
@@ryanwilliams7639 I had a handful of the trade paperbacks once upon a time, I sold them some time ago, which I often regretted. When the omnibuses were released I had them on my wishlist forever. I finally took the plunge on the volume one. It’s a gorgeous book.
Loved this when it came out originally in singles. Have the Omnis and looking forward to revisiting after 30 odd years. Be interesting to see your review when the time comes
Yeah, I had a few of the trade paperbacks. Rereading these early issues is blowing me away. I find this series to be better than I had remembered. I will absolutely try to review when I finish it out.
I love a full review of this book when you're done. I'm particularly curious to see how it stacks up to more modern comics as this is from back in the day. I am definitely intrigued, but I don't know if it is great for its time or if it is just plain grade
I am reading it devoid of nostalgia goggles and I think it holds up so far especially if you like real gritty detective/noir vigilante kinds of comics-Like Grell’s Green Arrow or Frank Miller’s Daredevil. It is not a modern book with modern pacing but I think it holds up I will definitely try to review upon finishing.
I want to pick up this and the 2nd one. love 80s book and this looks like it has an awesome vertigo vibe. Please look into doing voiceover work! the world needs to hear this voice
I have yet to finish this run but if you love 80s comics, particularly those with a bit more street-level vigilantism and grit this is the one. Even some philosophy thrown in here and there and the art by Denys Cowan is exceptional! And wow, you’re too kind! 😅
Have you read The Question by Dennis O’Neil and Denys Cowan?

@ yeah I waited until both were own sale but I have them. Haven’t read them in omnibus format yet.
Would love a review/analysis of the book. This is one of my favorite comic series. And I think it's Denny's best work.
@@luistoomuch the art is beautiful and the stories really hold up! I’ll try to review when I finish the book out :)
Thanks for watching!
