I cried during the suicide scene. I can barely stand watching it. Even just that small snippet of it. And the end just made me realise (even more than before) how proud I am of Aaron, and just how much progress he's made to get to that point. It made me smile. This was so beautiful, and I love how you used this song. It will forever be my Aaron&Jackson song. Incredible video :)
The storyline is amazing. For me is the best ever. But this vid is... I´m in tears!!! And so many wonderful comments people left over here. It made me so happy finding this. Thanks
this is a really good video and it shows what he has been through up til now, when the sucicide scenes came on it actually had me in tears coz i hadnt seen those scenes for a while! Well done xx
@JessAwards THANKS so much! I really appreciate it. I cry, myself when I watch this from time to time and think of Gay teenagers that have to resort to suicide because of how the world perceives them. I wanted to use the excellent writing and performances to make a point. Apparently, I have. Thanks again SO much. -Michael.
@airmax1973 HERE HERE :) - More than a beautiful love story, this is a accurate portrayal of coming out. And sadly - it oft times ends in a life wasted. I wanted to address that more than the process of two people finding themselves - which is why I DID NOT include the fight with Jackson. Keep getting the message out my friend. And thanks for the kind words.
@sdornellas I am SO glad that you found it and appreciate what I was trying to get across. I have lost friends that couldn't think of another way out and being Gay, I have at times had those thoughts as well. Oddly enough, it was my straight friends that got me through them. It is always a tragedy when a life is taken, but even more when they are taken so young. JUST SAY YES to life and understand it will get better. Sincerely, Michael.
Well said mate - love this... Aaron/Jackson acted sooo well - soo short sighted to write out Jackson so soon... I live in NE UK and don't follow/watch Emmerdale, but recently got hooked on this storyline and its message for personal reasons. Great video (sos Im so late)
@VickieED Thanks for the comment. That was one of the underlying points of this vid and why I constructed it that way - although out of chronological order, it was more of an attempt to show the coming out process, how it affects primary caregivers and how destructive it can become - leaving the person coming out alone and drowning in self-hate. Even to the point of involving Jackson - someone on his side. But he came through it, and with Jackson. That's a PLUS. Never give up - just say YES!
@adonaiskid24 I'm glad you enjoyed it. There was alot I wanted to include, but left out going for a more precise "essential" storyline. Thanks for the kind words.
@sanyrub Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed it. I had stop posting vids for awhile. But his storyline compelled me to start again. That and new video editing software - LOL.
@hypnotisedbabe Thank you SO much for your kind words. Oddly enough I cried throughout making it, and, embarrassed to say I still cry watching it now. But I wanted people to cry - I wanted to drive home the point how hard it can be for Gay teens (and adults for that matter) to come out even in this "so called" enlightened age we live. Aaron struggled his way through and has managed to come out the other end a strong Gay man - head held high and his fists where they belong, by his side.
@didge4dec Thanks. I am so glad you enjoyed it. And if you cried, then I did my job. It's hard for Gays, even today to come out. Aaron's struggle is indicative of so many world-wide. But he's learned. Still has a ways to go, but hey, "I don't do anything I don't want to do" :)
@redjuicyapples I agree wholeheartedly. I don't want to think it was because it's a Gay storyline, so I've decided to think it's because he's a relative new comer and just blew everyone else out the water, that the award committee believes it to be a fluke and are waiting to see if he can keep up the excellent acting. But he SO deserved that award.
@liveandletlive74 Thank you for your comment. You have NO idea what it means to me, as it comes at a time in my life of turmoil. I am glad that you liked it.
@frozenbaby2004 i loved that quote it was like he was happy for that moment in time and it was really good to see and i think that it is really sad that people cant be who they are coz of other people that dont like who they are and they wll always be the bigger person to someone who cant handle who they are :) thanks for the video again xx
@frozenbaby2004 Thanks Michael being Gay myself this clip you've put together referencing the Aaron and Jackson Story line is absolutely Brilliant!!!! in the light of ongoing suicides among gay youth. Thanks, again it is truly most poignant for me. Acceptance, to love and be loved is all we ever want.
@btonyb123 Thanks so much for your comments. I see Gay teens all the time struggling with little or no help from friends/family or society. Maybe (just maybe) we can make a difference with the technology now available to us :)!
