      @@TroglodyteMusic You are welcome. That's because the body is probably made of rengas wood (from Asia). My SG is made of the same wood and indeed very light too :) It would be great if you a take a look at my attempt to build my first DIY guitar too... :) I must say I learned a lot and would like to see your opinion, maybe some tips and tricks :)

      It's actually a £3 non stick roasting sheet from the local indoor market. I took the plastic one from the pack and traced around it on the roasting sheet. I then used big scissors, the kind you cut roofing lead with. Cheeky file around the edged to get rid of any sharp bits and that was that! I was concerned that it might make the guitar noisy but it didn't
