Here's an update from post 6 days ago. I ordered the climate controller, part number 55111952AE, and is mfg. dated May 2020. My 2010 had this part replaced before I bought it in March 2019. It was dated 11/2018 so it lasted less than three years. The blower/fan control part quit working. I got the new part today, 10/6/21 and installed it. The right hand control knob light blinked 60 times, 30 seconds then went off. It works perfectly (knock on wood). Maybe this one will last longer than three years.
Well, my fan speed switch took a dump today. It was replaced 3 years ago at dealership so apparently they are typical cheap crap parts that fail a lot. I read that the blinking light on the new install is the computer system linking up with the new control. Hopefully mine goes with no more problems after new control.
So why did you change it out to begin with, where none of the buttons functioning or something ?. I've got a 2010 Challenger SRT8 and I'm having issues with the AC button not functioning, but all the other controls work just fine and cannot figure out what's wrong. I've got almost 80 K on her and other than the alternator replacement at around 70k, is the only other issue and has been a great car
I have a dodge challenger 2014 and i had to fix so many items in this car that is ridiculous. Ac, compressor Ac controls (as shown in this vid,) Time chain Water pump twice Head lamps relay Sun roof mechanisms and sensor Smart glass (windows auto up) TIPM (part of computer? $1700.00 Trunk release mechanism Etc Etc. Is for sale cheap! will be my very last dodge/Chrysler vehicle i buy.
WARNING! Do not change this part. The part he is changing has a small micro proccessor that is linked to the cars VIN number. Notice when he hooked up the new controls that the rear defrost light was blinking?. That is blinking because the unit was NOT calibrated at the dealership. I know because I did this same thing, and what happens is some of the motors that work the vents fall out of range. I ended up with a air/recirc door breaking, and a clicking sound from the temp knob when moved. It would click loudly for 1 minute every time I started the car. Needless to say I had no choice but to go to the dealership and spend $900.00 to fix 1 bad motor, and change out the air door. I tried doing something seemingly harmless and caused a bigger problem. This is what happened to me. You decide.
“Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while” The right side push knob is rear def bruh. And no, your A/C does not work without the car running since your A/C compressor is belt driven from your engine. I like that you got lucky none the less. And as far as a dealership repair???? You bought a chinese knockoff (clone) controller. Im sure a MOPAR OEM controller are several hundred bucks along with “diagnostics charge, parts, labor being at least $1000.
***NEVER BUY ANOTHER DODGE **** Dodge sucks, every dodge i owned had lots of electrical issued. At this time im dealing with challenger with 80k miles which has all kinds of Electrical issue: Ac/ heater controls Headlight plugs get moisture and hd to replace them Sunroof wont close back Windshield wipers motor down Heated seats down Remote start dint works Etc, etc. etc.
3 years later. And you are still saving lives. Thank you.

Do you know what part do I need if the defrost and floor air doesn't change when I turn the knob on my 2010 Challenger?
Is that a blend door actuator?
The reason you replaced it was because it wasnt blowing or because it wouldn’t switch blowing position?

A better way of saying from the start is, fan not blowing. No help. Thanks for nothing.
