I was 15 ..grew up above Seward Park watched the whole thing just north of the south turn…I tore a piece of wood off of the Excide when they had her on the trailer out of the pits..wish I still had it..Bill Brow was a wild man …they all were..we were all lucky to witness that day😊
I was there too as a young boy madly rooting for Bill Brow's Miss Exide--saw him set the record on Wednesday on the old three- mile course at over 120 mph--in the final on Sunday Exide had a comfortable lead over Bardahl and Notre Dame when I heard a popping sound coming from Exide's engine as he passed the official barge on lap two--I knew then he was in trouble--sure enough on the next lap the Exide's engine blew going up the backstretch---Brow cut into the infield as the boat burned----I remember it well.
Hydros sucks not worth not fooling racing even KIRO stoped covering and only H 1 covers it and they really Suck🌚🌚🌚🌚👹👹👺👺🤡🤡🤡

I remember Manchester backing off using his good judgment for safety the boats were bouncing in the final.
