However there is a super head voice D6 and a whistle D6. this is not a whistle D6. Either way whether its a whistle or a head voice, this doesnt take away from the message of the song.

The Celine Dion version has always been my favorite. However, from the 2nd verse through the ending, Taya demonstrates what a powerful occurrence Christ's birth to save us was.
Thinking the same - Love hearing Celine sing this one, but Wow! Taya is wonderful too!

You make the assumption that she hasn't come to Christ. She is a Roman Catholic, who had a strong religious upbringing.She had 2 Catholic weddings to the same man - the 2nd as he was dying from cancer. Rene' (her husband) had the Mass of the Dead and was buried in hallowed ground. Their 3 sons were baptized.
I don't understand what has made you think she in Christ's favor. My comment was just to ask if you were judging her for some reason.
And, Pinky, though I was baptized and lived my life as a Roman Catholic, when my grandchildren were 7 and 3, they both were enrolled in Christian schools. They knew so much about Jesus nd how to be Christlike, that they brought me closer to Him.

Just a brief comment on how much Taya’s technical vocal prowess has improved. Just from two years ago, the same song not only shows her commitment to continually being a work in progress, I can also hear her faith growing stronger. Just love it. What we call the “whistle vocal” at the end is such a perfect way to end it as well. Thank you, Hillsong (ALL OF YOU) and to God, through Jesus, giving us these vessels to share His love. Merry Christmas to ALL.🙏❤️🙏
I love Taya but I felt the opposite. I felt she was trying to showcase to much and it didn't flow. I loved the one 2 years ago and thought it was spectacular

@@bradrhea Music, in itself, is subjective. Trust me when I say, that she’s still holding way back here. There is no thought on her part to grandstand. I know this. She can hit whistle tones much higher. She’s just developing more as a singer. She will tell you herself that her gift is not hers and for us to suggest she’s attempting to showcase herself can seem judgemental. It’s also absolutely wonderful that you like the other performance more, but for us to go into that territory of finger pointing, I think it’s best we don’t. Both performances are wonderful. 🙏❤️🙏

Please pray for me guys, I’m having a personal battle with myself. I can feel that my relationship with the Lord isn’t growing anymore and my heart was like away from Him :((
God has promised to never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:6) regardless of anything we can do. He never fluctuates or fails. His faithfulness doesn’t depend on our behavior. He always keeps his promises so be still and rest in that promise for a bit. 💛
In times like this we must remember that the gospel is not made by events or epic emotions, but is built in our common life, in the ordinary. We are called to persevere day by day until our last day. It doesn't seem easy, because we're unable to stablish a term to our sorrows and to our waiting. But more than feelings, we must keep a solid conscience of who He is. God is so wise that made us church and gave us the communion of saints to help us complete the race. He gave us the Bible, so we can be inpired by real people with real strugles. We are called to see life as it is, not false promisses. God moves in reality, because He is real! And, as a word of hope, I'll also recall that He gave us the Holy Spirit! The eternal permeates the mortal and touch us with providence and grace! That's the beauty of our faith! Let it burn in your heart!

Today, after watching 2 days of documentaries on the Shroud of Turin, her rendition reinforced that, knowing the horror He would face, He still sacrificed Himself to save us.
