Big Planting | Fendt 1050 Vario, 824 & 720 Vario | Mencke Landbouw | Potato planting 2019

We return to the Dutch farming company Mencke Landbouw for the 2019 potato planting season. Last year we filmed the whole team at work on a single field: • 5x Fendt: 1400 HP | Po... . This year the fleet has been updated with some serious horsepower!
Star of the 2019 season is a brand new 500 HP Fendt 1050 Vario and 6m Horsch Tiger 6 AS cultivator, replacing a 936 Vario and 3m Horsch. On the front is a Partner 1600 FT front tank for distributing barley seed to prevent wind erosion. The Horsch is being pulled 40cm deep (16") as the main soil preparation. As this field wasn't level enough; a Fendt 824 Vario and 6m Amazone Catros+ disc harrow is used to take out some wheel marks. Planting is in the capable hands of a Fendt 720 Vario with CHD front tank and 8-row Grimme GL 860 Compacta planter. A JCB TM 320 pivot-steer telehandler fills the 6t hopper and on the headland stands a Fendt 724 Vario with a bowser for liquid fertiliser and water.

With all that goes into planting and harvesting how many Acres would you have to work for it to become profitable? I think Potatoes are the cheapest to bought as far as produce.So I'm goin out on limb here and saying those machines are running alot during season
