Ecosystems, made up of living and non-living things, can be as small as a tide pool or as big as a rainforest. Ecosystems can be classified as terrestrial or aquatic, with aquatic further divided into marine and freshwater. Land ecosystems are often categorized into biomes, such as tropical forests or deserts, based on climate and vegetation.

This just seems to add to the general confusion regarding biomes! "Biome" and "ecosystem" are not interchangeable terms.A biome is a large region / meta-area comprised of a particular range and number of ecosystems.

Look for other sources. Just because this is labeled as Ecosystems and Biomes, doesn't mean that it will tell you EVERYTHING about it.
The thing that separates ecosystems from climate is... Biomes are ecosystems+climate
At least that is what my science teacher says
Sir, i think ecosystem means system at a given place. As system is the combination of related parts that work together to achieve common goal like digestive system for digestion so ECOSYSTEM is the combination of biotic (community) and abiotic things(air ,waterand light etc.) (which are component of ecosystem) at a given place which interact for exchange of materials and transfer of energy within that place so that life at that place become possible. Thus it is interaction that make ecosystem . While BIOMES are community of organisms at place (and that place is selected on the basis of climate) and if we study interaction of community and abiotic factors at that place then it would be ecosystem of that biome like rainforest ecosystem mean ecosystem of rainforest biome.I could be wrong if u find best explanation than tell me in the comment.

you didnt talked about biomes
Biomes are diffrent types of ecosystems. The following are types of biomes and depend on the climate: desert, tropical forest,grasslands and tundra. These are land based biomes.
