I don't know why but this part hits hard for me 2:29 It's as if Aqua's wishing that Ai was there with them fully knowing it's impossible, just the thought of how desperate he is to protect Ruby while regretting not being able to save Ai brings me to tears, he's ready to sacrifice anything and everything to protect what he cherishes and i can't help but feel sad for him but also respect him.
To be fair, its not impossible. Ai still exists because reincarnation is confirmed to exist in this world. and although unlikely it is possible for people to retain memories of their past lives.

That high string note that comes in starting at 3:25 and goes all the way until the end literally gives me chills every time, especially when I watch the actual ending and I see the visuals with Aqua and his childhood memories with Ai in the background.
I love how the opening perfectly represents Ai to the point of feeling that it is she who is singing. And the ending in the same way represents her children, especially the words from Aqua to Ai
why does this ending hit so hard, my god that pure raw emotions... and in the ed the way aqua is shown slowly moving toward the abyss and the lyrics, even the name of this song. Everything just hits so different. The Opening is great in it's own way but the ending is just far too good.

Damn, the beginning of the song always got me. It got a dramatic vibe really good to end the episode and create a cliffhanger. Oshi no Ko is perfect from the start until the end. Hoping if 2nd season got adapted, it will continue this type of masterpiece
Yeah, I'm disappointed that we never get that energy back through out the rest of the song. It flies right out of the gate and sets the tone and everything and then just dies off instantly. It is like watching the most unsatisfying Video and every time you expect to see something nice it fucks up.

Both the OP and ED of this show slap very hard! Deserving for such a good show! I was skeptical at first but this could end up being anime of the year.

I've been waiting for this song ever since a snippet of it appeared in one of the trailers. OP song represents what the show is on the surface, ie about corrupt entertainment industry and Ai ED represents what it's ACTUALLY about, the siblings and their motivations. It's sooo good. I love Yaosobi but Queen Bee wins this for me

I don't usually enjoy pure drama without action scenes in it, but episode 7 was so epic. The transition from last scene to the ending song was also perfect for me. I hate to wait another week for the next episode 😂

Queen Bee's music is perfect for Oshi no Ko! Avu-chan kills it with her amazing voice as well. I love how the op and ed mirror each other, like it starts with Ai and her story, and ends with Aqua and Ruby and their own.

It hits harder if you read the manga. He wants nothing more than to keep Ruby safe and is terrified for her life at every moment.

@@shnofata2416it's because of how the japanese language is structured compared to english. An automatic translator can't grasp the difference and will end up making mistakes. Metaphors are also quite impossible to translate and japanese has many of them.

Honestly, reaching the heights of Idol and Mephisto for season 2 is going to be really difficult cause they’re so damn good.
That high string note that comes in starting at 3:25 and goes all the way until the end literally gives me chills every time, especially when I watch the actual ending and I see the visuals with Aqua and his childhood memories with Ai in the background.

why does this ending hit so hard, my god that pure raw emotions... and in the ed the way aqua is shown slowly moving toward the abyss and the lyrics, even the name of this song. Everything just hits so different. The Opening is great in it's own way but the ending is just far too good.

Damn, the beginning of the song always got me. It got a dramatic vibe really good to end the episode and create a cliffhanger. Oshi no Ko is perfect from the start until the end. Hoping if 2nd season got adapted, it will continue this type of masterpiece
Yeah, I'm disappointed that we never get that energy back through out the rest of the song. It flies right out of the gate and sets the tone and everything and then just dies off instantly. It is like watching the most unsatisfying Video and every time you expect to see something nice it fucks up.

said this to my friend too i really enjoy the first few seconds especially after they conditioned us to get scared of the opening notes from episode 7, it has a very dramatic/tragic style to it that you would generally hear in moments of intense emotional scenes.

The name Hoshino Ai means "star and love" in Japanese. It is very impressively drawn in the OP and ED of Oshi no Ko.
I saw someone also suggest that sinxe ai is writren in katakana it could mean star eyed because ais name sounds like ai and katakana is used for foreign words
"Hoshi no Ai" can be translated to "Desired Love" and considering how Ai wanted to love, it makes perfect sense.
It also can mean "love from the stars"
Yeah, like Idol tells us about the star part, while this tells us about the love part
as a japanese, it means " Star's love"

I somehow wish they stick with this ending for the rest of the seasons. The start makes a perfect ending segment, like Jojo's roundabout.
It's not exactly the ending itself, but rather the stylistic choice to start playing it a few seconds before the episode is "over".
And yes, I personally hope they stick to this trope. Imagine the end of Season 3, am I right?
