Okay wait this sounds like a legit theory, everyone's been asking for male idols and diss pair is like the only splat band outside of OTH and SS to be a duo member group. I could honestly see them doing this which would be so hype

What ive been thinking is that the eye store that we saw is going to be for further character customization. I was thinking of an option to add a hair color gradient
I hope you can change your hairstyle more deeply and in detail something like those flash games where they used to put options like changing the fringe or the back or front at your whim, I think that would make haircuts even more unique
Perhaps, as a nostalgic treat, the train system can take you back to Inkopolis Plaza so you can play on Splatoon 1 stages that were cut from Splatoon 2's roster. This assumption could be justified by the vague revival of Splatoon 1 Special Weapons
There was a sort of leak on an Italian site that listed the game and Splatoon 3's release date said June 30, 2022. It might be a placeholder date though. Still very interesting. I hope there are no delays but if it's not ready and its delayed because of that then that's okay.
I was thinking maybe the really tall building could be like, a city of order since order lost and it doesn’t look very “chaotic” or something and the single player mode you have to like, fight marina or something lmao this is just a rly fun theory
Yes, I could totally see Nintendo going in that direction. the tall tower has a futuristic order look to it. Marina will likely have an important role in the story mode.
So I think with all of the new eyecolors and pretty much gender turning to eyebrows, the shop with the eye logo will be like, absolutely dedicated to getting eye customization or something, like I saw that someone was wearing a hat and glasses at the same time in the trailer, so could you have the option to equip both at once, and have a glasses/contact lenses or something shop plus a hat shop? Just my theory :)
Also, note that there are 2 unfinished buildings in the trailer. One near the Pig and one on the left of the "Splatville Spire" (my nickname for the Deca Tower replacement). The one near the spire could be the Salmon Run/Grizzco Main Tower and maybe the entrance to the Story as you mentioned that the tower could be story-related.
maybe 8 will like splatlands, cos octolings and inklings live there together and in one of the mem cakes 8 says how they're tired of seeing squid symbols everywhere like the squid bumber, so maybe theres gonna be more octo symbols in splatsville and maybe agent 8 would be into that? 8 also talks abt sheldon in a good light and how his rambles calm them, aswell as liking to browse through the weapons and keeping them clean so it'll be cool to see them run sheldon's shop in splatsville. also crusty sean upgrading his food truck to a whole restaurant would be cool, and in splat2 u see spyke in a restaurant so maybe in splat3 whoever deals with the perks will be in the restaurant along side crusty Sean? So you wouldnt have to walk across the plaza to access murch or the food truck and itll be in one place? maybe itll be spyke and murch? who knows
Oooo your ideas and predictions are really good, having 8 run Sheldon’s shop would be really neat and going from a food truck to a full restaurant would be great for the game’s world building!

I liked ur theory on how agent 8 could be the new shop keeper and i wanted to expand on that,, now that i think about it idk, bc in order vs chaos agent 8 was in team order, and since chaos won and we got little buddy that was from team chaos maybe it wont be 8? but they might have 8 just be the shopkeeper there anyways and the agents will have to be involved in a way probably, even if they were on another team, id like to see the agents come back for the story like agent3 in the dlc it was so cool. but idk if sheldons coming back since his two stores in splat 1 and 2 are close to eachother since u can see splatoon 1s hub world from splatoon 2s and since splatlands is far away sheldon might have someone else help to expand his buisness while he runs the two in inkopolis
For the eye I wasent thinking eye color changing, I was thinking more of a spa and makeup area, like maybe we can change our eyelids as aka mascara, or we can add blush
This was really cool! :) When you pointed out the hats on the railing, if you look behind the hats there is a suitcase, meaning that the hats may be just there for decor purposes. And for the huge white tower I have a feeling that the final boss could be at the top of the tower, and while climbing the tower you would do battles like how the seven stages in octo expansion. Whether or not this will happen, it's still really fun to think about it!
Just to point out a few things: -there is a staircase leading up on the left side of the main walkway (it shows portions of it in 3 shots). There is another building and even possible area that they didn’t even show that is above the staircase. All I know for sure is that it leads to the shop above Ammo Knights, and there is one building that could be a salmon run or a new mode (it is only found in the twitter photo) -There is a shop on the left in the shot at 9:24, which I believe is a moped shop because inkling/octoling’s walking movement is pretty slow when getting to places ESPECIALLY with this city. -The mailing service (not the mailbox) on the right side of the main walkway is not a machine, but instead it is a small store that you cannot walk into (but more like crusty Sean’s truck where technically it is a shop, but you don’t walk inside). This could possible be to mail things to friends (like maybe furniture for the possible apartment mode) or maybe this area will be the function similar to sypke or murch (but I doubt it).

1:54 In the trailer there was an inkling with glasses and a Viking hat (I think) so this possible could be a glasses only shop or it could be a Do-Rag Cap and Glasses situation (a splatoon 2 head gear item that had a hat and glasses) But I’m sure am excited as hell to see what happens! 3:52 maybe it’s just the thing I just talked about but it’s the hat store! Or the eye store could just be a way to get more eye colors (or for you British folks colour) 6:09 In Splatoon 1-2 there are these animal things on top of buildings like in splatoon 1 there is a fox with a bandanna on it’s neck and a takooni with some clothing and in Splatoon one there is a turtle and a origami bird and in every splatfest the change to there side’s color like for example cats vs dogs the fox bandanna will turn orange and the taknooki clothing will become blue (I think) so that’s what I think the snake is going to be used for. 8:02 I think that tower was next to Inkopolis plaza in splatoon 3 but I’m not sure. 9:01 I think C-Q Cumber is gone from the grasp of Commander Tar Tar and some employee’s helped out everyone and got everyone out since there’s got to be a reason on why Captain CuddleFish is still there and Agent 8 could easily comeback there and not fall down that hole there is an entrance and exit found. And know Deepsea Metro has an Upsea Metro? Yeah let’s go with that. 9:24 crusty sean truck 10:10 Maybe Marie has some more missions for us back Inkopolis Square or Captain Cuddle fish has some stuff for us or maybe some suspicious activity is happening at the Deepsea Metro or there will be a new story mode! And the stuff listed above as one big dlc! 10:43 it will feel wrong for there not to be any apartments! 11:20 Maybe or it’s just another Splatfest prop (Like the snake thing earlier) ORR this is where you pay your loans! Or access to more areas! 12:23 I don’t even know myself

its funny because! interestingly if it takes place near the eiffel tower, the french people also have apartments that look kind of similar (though these apartments look more japanese-styled and to me are almost a callback to flounder heights) , and also have 'districts' (arrondissements), which could probably be the reason we have a train in the first place. maybe the train isn't to go to limited places but to see different districts, and said different districts could just be friends' apartments

And after you choose maybe it shows a cutscene of you to leaving the apartment and going to play the match or maybe there could be a feature where you can give your friends gift from the shops . I think the animals represent the idols. In someones else video they mentioned that the animals in splatoon 1 and 2 represents the idols personality. Fox for Marie, Tanuki for Callie, Crane for Pearl and Turtoise for Marina. Now I think to figure the personality is to use Year of the ___.
So i decided to look into the entrance to the pig thing. And to me it looks like when you enter you end up in another part of the the city but it looks more like places like small Japanese towns. Here's a theory At the start of the game you have a small cramped apartment which you can customize BUT! If you save up enough money you're able to buy an upgraded apartment. And these Japanese inspired apartments as it seems could be one of the types of apartments you can buy. (crap they already showed what was in there lmao this comment is useless)
so maybe theres a chance that they could be coming back or not since i remember seeing the hightide era logo into splatoon 2 somewhere but they didnt come back
I might know how battle dojo will work.. maybe u would need to switch consoles. Both of them required to be out of the dock and them using wired connection not play with friends.

I think the animals represent the idols. In someones else video they mentioned that the animals in splatoon 1 and 2 represents the idols personality. Fox for Marie, Tanuki for Callie, Crane for Pearl and Turtoise for Marina. Now I think to figure the personality is to use Year of the ___.

So i decided to look into the entrance to the pig thing. And to me it looks like when you enter you end up in another part of the the city but it looks more like places like small Japanese towns. Here's a theory
