Holy shit! Wargreymon was and is still my favorite digimon. If I was still a kid and I saw this I would be pestering my parents to get me it to no end!
The claws might be the first time in history that Mecha has used “savage” correctly to describe something. I remember him calling the knees on a Gundam one time “absolutely savage” lmao
I saw someone paint this kit into Barbatos Lupus Rex colors; and it fits so damn well. Now waiting for someone to paint Lupus Rex in Wargreymon colors.
2:30 when you started to remove the Dramon Killers it reminded me of the part in Digimon Our War Game when Wargreymon punched Diaboromon...now I want a Diaboromon kit.
By Jove, I haven't seen Digimon in over 15 years or so. This slapped me hard with a wave of nostalgia and reminded me just how much more bad ass the digimon designs were to their pocketmonster counterparts. I'm more of a Metalgarurumon guy though.
It got silver because of the articulation problem. Based on looks alone I'd say this is a Gundarium tier. But mechagaikotsu had to factor in articulation because model kits are more than just looks.
i recently finished the BlackWarGreymon Figurerise Standard Amplified kit, and i have to say, besides the colour, it's very close to the WarGreymon kit, it includes WarGreymon's Brave Shield, but you're actually supposed to use a blank version in the build that comes on another runner, i used the standard one for my kit, and will be repurposing the blank. stickers looks fairly good actually, and i ended up using them all, will probably do something with that shield though, to pick out the Crest. all in all, not a bad kit, but still more for display than anything else...
He sort of starts to. At around 8:43 he puts the shield on the adapter and fixes it to the arm at 8:54. But then at 8:57 he shows it connected to both arms again (!) instead of one.
Be wary about the joints especially at the leg connections to the waist. Those use polycaps which either from the weight of the top half or something, they developed 2 tears making the model impossible to pose because the legs are loose. The new polycaps I used, only lasted a month or so before it happened again.
Bought this one at release but didn't get the time to built it until now, and as much as I wanted to like it, the shoulder joints were so mindnumbingly tight the right arm broke clean off just from trying to plug it in, and the left arm followed suit when I tried to move it even a milimeter...
It actually makes since why he dosnt have that much movement hell even in the show he was very stiff. Unlike robots the armor isn't apart of him so his stiff movements becuase of the bulky armor actually is accurate to the show so I'm very happy with it.
When I saw the prototype I was shocked that this was actually a Bandai model kit instead of just another expensive figure. WarGreymon has always been one of my afovurite Digimon and I've been hyped for this kit for months, but it's gonna be a while until my stores can get it as always :(
Quite impressive, back in the days model kits are usually involves tanks, vehicle or mecha... Nowadays they can make a figure that's look like an Sh figuarts, figma looking figure... Plus if the joints are loose it can be replaceable
the Digimon Amplified kits are what happens when you let Studio TRIGGER touch Digimon for even a little bit. Hope they do Angewomon. Also, I think Figure-Rise Standard kits are one of the peaks of "High-Grade"-y kits. This Wargreymon looks like a full-on action figure after building it and the Figure-Standard W has one of the greatest engineering I've seen with it being able to form change without sacrificing mobility.
9:51 tight is right, trying to move it I actually broke the silver butterfly joint it was attached to… had to fix it and sanded down the socket a bit to loosen it up.
Damn, those are out already? The Preorders through Bluefin on the stateside via the normal retailers you'd expect (Amazon, BBTS) won't have it out here until the end of November. Still, good to know I'm definitely going to be getting my money's worth out of them, to continue a showcasing of quality out of the Figurise standard line. I hope they sell well enough to keep with these for more of the popular/signature Digimon of the series, as I'd LOVE one of Dukemon/Gallantmon and his Crimson Mode as well.
5:30 Not wanna be that guy but the claws are called the DraMON Killers as it ties them to the in-universe Dragon Digimons, which are as you would have guessed Dramon-type Digimons (ImperialDramon, Cyberdramon, etc...)
I want this model kit pretty bad. What I'm learning from these reviews is that the ball joints at the arms are way too tight and break. So....sand them a bit before assembly? I might jump on this, not sure.
I just got this thing and it’s my first model kit. I had no idea I had to built it piece to piece on this kind of level, thought it would just be me snapping some parts here and there an boom. Anyone got any suggestions/tips so I DONT permanently mess this up?
Spent a month painting mine and was just about to assemble it all together and discovered the pvc joint on the legs are too weak and split which is probably what is causing your kit's leg to pop off when you rotate it. The joint has split on both legs, did yours have this problem?
Yo mecha can you review the figure rise standard Asuna coming out soon? Not sure whether to get her or any of her figma so a comparison would be great!
Ive been waiting for an English review of this. Not that theyll stop or encourage me from buying. IM getting it but these reviews hype me up till i can get it on release.
I'm surprised you didn't mention how the backpack wings completely block the head articulation from looking even slightly up. Just built it and it's really annoying as I wanted to pose it with his wings on the back, but his head can't look up, really ruining a lot of dynamic poses with an action base.
Ah shiat... I can't decide if i should get this. Looks so good off the box. But lack of accessories and posing ability is holding me back. The cheapest i could find is 70 dollars. Like wth. Japan is only around 2000yen.
@@RonLarhz I didn't even mention how the shoulder spikes completely limit arm articulation too, if you keep his wings on. Idk why they made them so big. If you like posing, the newer anime-accurate Wargreymon being released soon seems far better, not to mention that it's cheaper too.
Man, if only the Lupus Rex had these claws
I'm pretty sure we can expect this level or better quality when Bandai _eventually_ makes the MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex
.
@@xxnike0629xx I pray it ain't P-Bandai.

Imagine blitzgreymon amplified hoooo boyy
Hell yeah both blitz and victory I would play good money for that.
Imagine a Royal Knight Set Series
From Imperialdramon PM to the one and only Alphamon.
i want the dark pillar wargreymon
Great review! Wargreymon looks like a real monster here. This is one of the best redesigns I've seen. I loved seeing him carry Core Gundam.
My only negative to this kit is that it doesnt have a terraforce accessory.
Heh and yet the BWG got claw effect parts
The HG core gundam is the Edward Elric of the HG line XD
Just got a Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise ad playing the OP while watching this
The Gundam have spoken

GREAT this is my number 1 review channel no lie
This kit is crazy popular in Singapore. Sold out so quickly at the recent gundam expo.
I'm glad my favorite digimon is getting the attention it deserves! 🤩
The claws might be the first time in history that Mecha has used “savage” correctly to describe something. I remember him calling the knees on a Gundam one time “absolutely savage” lmao
Dictionary definition: Savage - see also Figure-rise Standard Wargreymon Amplified.
I saw someone paint this kit into Barbatos Lupus Rex colors; and it fits so damn well.
Now waiting for someone to paint Lupus Rex in Wargreymon colors.
Barbatos Lupus Rex's designer was definitely a Digimon fan. If only they included a fat sword, then we can have Wargreymon and Victorygreymon.
2:30 when you started to remove the Dramon Killers it reminded me of the part in Digimon Our War Game when Wargreymon punched Diaboromon...now I want a Diaboromon kit.
It looks so cool. i'm only interested in mechas, but I wouldn't mind having this one in my collection
I love how the plastic is matt on this kit.

There's an Amplified model kit for Metalgarurumon too!
As well as a blackmetalgarurumon. Amazing kits.
This is a model kit?

I'll be getting that WarGreymon model kit as soon as I can 😊
I'm just here waiting for Jobby to finish building it
One of the top non gunpla model kits this year
Man I just wanna ask if you can put him in a Gunpla stand to make an awesome aerial pose??
Its not a Gundam, I think you must use a different method to score this kit. Personally I think it deserves a higher score than silver.
It got silver because of the articulation problem. Based on looks alone I'd say this is a Gundarium tier. But mechagaikotsu had to factor in articulation because model kits are more than just looks.
i personally agree that it is silver tier, it has horrid articulation. Omnimon has better articulation but it's looks alone loses to wargreymon
@@BrandedTears Penelope consists of an articulated Odysseus Gundam too. The 104FF only acts as armours. Or you can just ask mechagaikotsu himself.

Dude that's incredible! Can barely tell its it's a kit, bandai hit it out of the park!!
Those wings look phenomenal!!
Is it me or did he not show how the shield looks with the adapter in one single arm?
It's not just you
ZakuAurelius shows it as well as what it'll look like with the stickers on

why did u use bandai's digivolving figure as a comparisson?
it's a realy weird transforming figure with some bad proportions.
yea, could've used the D.arts, or the S.H Figuarts versions, since those are more accurate to both the original art and the anime respectively.
I need this Wargreymon in my life
blackwargreymon though...
It actually makes since why he dosnt have that much movement hell even in the show he was very stiff. Unlike robots the armor isn't apart of him so his stiff movements becuase of the bulky armor actually is accurate to the show so I'm very happy with it.
