    Beef Sukka
    Beef sukka is a popular dish along the coast of Karnataka, where grated coconut is slow roasted with some spices and succulent pieces of beef are added to it. This dish tastes great with rice, chapathis, dosa or parotta.
    Ingredients
    1 kg beef with fat cut into medium size cubes
    1 cinnamon stick
    2 inch ginger
    10 garlic cloves
    4 green chillies
    1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
    1 large size onions finely sliced
    1 large chopped tomato or 2 tablespoons tomato puree
    3 tbsp Bafat powder
    1 cup grated coconut
    Oil
    salt to taste
    For the tempering
    5-6 curry leaves
    3-4 cloves garlic
    Substitute of Bafat Powder for this recipe:
    Ratio 1tbsp Bafat powder =
    1 tbsp Red chilli powder
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1/2 tsp cumin powder
    1/2 tsp pepper powder
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    Notes
    You can twirl the grated coconut in a blender for about 10 seconds just to get a better texture which is not too fine & not too fine and not too coarse
