Watching these boats always blow me away. As a sailor (of a much slower boat ), I can only imagine what it would be like to fly across the sea at these speeds. Absolutely exhilarating might come close! Thanks for the update.
Where do the earlier generation , foil-less boats fit in? Like pippa? Still a huge challenge but will they get left behind badly . Is there any thing for these few to sail for? Cheers Warren
@warp21drive I would say foilers and non foilers are unofficially 2 different classes and as such you still have to compete against boats of your own class, a bit like WEC endurance racing in motorsports.
I think it is funny to those defenders of ecology with plastic boats made with nuclear energy, no doubt that the Monaco is the most polluted country in Europe, it does not have basic sanitation and the electricity is made from nuclear, it is a good example for ecology? Or is it a good business? I already miss the ecologists who were allergic to the petrochemical industry and nuclear energy.
