Oh this is good..so many things copied and some things put in that Disney did not..This is fun. Who did the animatroics? Garner-Holt? Thank for this..but..I didn't think they had pirates in Europe...my mistake...lol
Aloha Robert! PIRATEN IN BATAVIA is set during a pirate raid on Jakarta (known as Batavia until 1942) in the 17th century at the beginning of the Dutch colonization of Indonesia. Regarding the Animatronics: I found the following on the website for Kraftwerk Living Technologies: “In 2020, construction was taking place in the middle of a pandemic and therefore under difficult conditions, but careful distancing and teamwork with the guys from Mack230, Mack Media, Team Europa-Park, Garner Holt and Jora Vision just helped create a perfect attraction at the end of the day.” So, to answer your question… Garner Holt WAS involved. The thing that I (this is Paul, btw…) enjoy MOST about Europa-Park is the fun game of “that was inspired by Disney” which can be played throughout the park.
