Nobody really hates one another in these events, some might have a grudge, but it's a group of people brought together for their love of destruction, pretty sure the only thing they wanna hurt is each others cars.
Everyone Although no matter what it is, it really did look like a clean car. But anyway I kind of found it funny how the guy in the driver seat was wearing like a dad outfit when was trying to turn into a truck, hah!
It varies from maker, year, and model, but they usually have a 8-cylinder Chevrolet made gasoline engine for 80's and 90's models from Utilimaster. Newer models from 2004+ usually use Ford E-series diesels.
This is by far my favorite type of Rockford speedway race. Somewhat uneventful this time around, but still exciting and "Scary Gary" is a pretty decent wheelman.
first of all these are some of the best races to go to. also see how all the racers got out to check on “scary gary” this is how all humanity should be. forget past fights and focus on now.
Funny that this was filmed at Rockford speedway and Scary Gary rolled the truck attempting what we used to call "The Rockford Turn". Named for the reverse spin seen frequently done with a brown Firebird on an old TV show called The Rockford files starring the late James Garner.
They used to do this type of thing at a race track near where I live. It was always so much fun. And they only charged $5 for admission. We’d take the kids and everyone would have a blast. This is true middle class American blue collar fun. What America used to be like.
Didn't realize this was a real event at demolition derbies, only ever seen it in Test Drive: Eve of Destruction. Course being a video game, they didn't really have to keep safety in mind, so the other cars would drive the wrong way and head on collision you!
note to self dont reverse 180 a bread truck
That’s why no one will remember your name
The UA-cam recommendations actually came through this time
yeap
prescription My new favorite channel.
Yeah
Absolute props to the guy driving with his hood up for the whole race 😂😂😂💯
Love the sportsmanship. Killing it during the race but when scary Gerry goes over everyone stops to check on him
Edward Debassige Damn right
Garrrryyyy

That was awesome, them being the first ones to check on him.
Its nothing but love in this sport.
These Americans know how to have fun. I will have to visit one day
This is what the freedom factory will look like in a couple years time 😂
I believe the government shut down the freedom factory. Though the residents are still around
This is amazing Quarantine content.
that bread truck!!! this would make Nascar waaaaay more entertaining
I was gonna say a slightly used FedEx truck lol
Wonder if Dale Jarrett wants to race the truck lol
I remember in the NASCAR 2006 game you could use a UPS truck that went as fast as all the NASCARs.
Denny Hamlin would do better in a FedEx truck than his #11 FedEx car.
Nascar USED TO be a contact sport, back before everyone practically drove the same regulated vehicle
What did I just watch? This was awesome. Reminds me of my morning and evening commute on 95.
"It's 'Scary Gary' in the bread truck!" I don't think I've ever heard anyone say THAT before!!
No F1
No Indy
No Nascar
At least I got plenty of demolition derby races left to watch
No 5 seconds panelty
I saw this in my recommendations and thought, "what the fuck is a gauntlet race?" I'm glad my curiosity was active today
Real life Takumi: "Gotta make these tofu deliveries"
*_Flips delivery truck_*
*multi track rolling*
This turned out pleasantly entertaining.. scary Gary and the UA-cam algorithm did not disappoint me on this one!!!
Only 2 Rockford videos in I already know the legend that is scary gary.
That was better than today's NASCAR .
Scary Gary was trying to do a "J-turn," when he flipped the truck. Nice try, big balls.
I wonder if he would have made if he tried to spin it the other way.
2:04
Who else felt bad for that mint condition looking Ford Freestar?
I didn’t
Lol it's a peice of junk car anyways
Anton Sander
Yup, it’s there for a reason
Everyone

pos van. horrible build quality, grew up with one of them. Every plastic panel was cracked after a while.
The truck is faster then the cars😂😂

@@MrWolfSnack i've got a buddy with an 83 chevy p3500 (same as utilimaster) with a basic 350 diesel.... you couldnt kill that thing
This is by far my favorite type of Rockford speedway race. Somewhat uneventful this time around, but still exciting and "Scary Gary" is a pretty decent wheelman.
I LOVE IT...turn me around, will ya...I'll just freakin race ya in reverse, never even STOPS!
I clicked just because of the step van I'm a FedEx driver
Now you know what you must do with the company vehicle. Go fourth my child.
Imagine being the last guy in line when a guy named scary Gary is chasing you in a gauntlet vehicle
This is the most underrated channel in the history of youtube.
that has to be one of the coolest moves i've ever seen in a motor vehicle. that was fantastic. thanks for postin.
One of the most American things I've ever seen.
This was hilarious!!! Very entertaining. Good fun!
The best part is everyone that was in the cars got out to see if he was ok
I love Rockford Speedway. It's authentic Illinois. Right up there with the Boone County Fair.
So awesome to see all the different event you guys do, many I haven't seen done at tracks. Keep it up!
Long Live Scary Gary!
This...this is awesome.
Ear to ear smiles with this video!
That was awesome!
I have no idea what that was,,,, but it was AMAZING!!!
There is bread sitting somewhere that cant be delivered. Such a shame. Then again bread is not good for me anyway. Hero?
This is the most insane i have ever seen in my life
Yo that bread truck was legit!
That looked pretty cool!
...on paper.

Been there back in 80's
Spectator drags were great." Watch the Starter..Great memories.
Thanks
That looks fun as hell
All of a sudden I'm watching a half-baked bumper car video. I hope the winner got a lot of dough. Interesting to watch no matter how you slice it.
best spec drags ive seen.
That was the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen.
Looks like he was trying to do a Rockford turn
Damn you Gary, you had one job!
This looks like so much fun! I wanna try
first of all these are some of the best races to go to. also see how all the racers got out to check on “scary gary” this is how all humanity should be. forget past fights and focus on now.
Just goes to show the camaraderie amongst racers between the flip/wellness check and even the ride back to the pits that's cool shit
When you go from reverse spin then go forward like the bread truck was trying to do we call it the Rockford files
the guy with the hood up !!!! how he manages to drive like this ? incredible !!!
I have to take a trip and visit this track .Scary Gary in his bread truck . Hilarious
Funny that this was filmed at Rockford speedway and Scary Gary rolled the truck attempting what we used to call "The Rockford Turn". Named for the reverse spin seen frequently done with a brown Firebird on an old TV show called The Rockford files starring the late James Garner.
I think they still do reruns on metv

Some of those trucks came with big block V8s, they could be pretty quick - especially when empty.
Looks fun as hell.
He almost pulled off that spin around, damn!
When the truck flipped over you can hear several yeehaws from the audience
Look's like a typical drive to work where I'm from!
That actually seemed to be going incredibly quick in reverse for a vehicle like that. It looked like it was properly accelerating for a second or two!
It probably only has something like 3 gears , and a tall rear end , so top speed in reverse should be really high!
@@televisionandcheese exactly. Tons of torque and the truck is empty, that thing goes 0-35 real quick
So many bread in this video
I love how the other drivers helped him
i didnt quite understand what the goal was...
There's is no goal. This is 'Merica baby
Fun, family togetherness, get off the phone
jacksrandomadventures to flip the truck but he did it himself
Id a had the bread truck stocked with bread before i bring it out there would have been more funny that way bread all over the road LOL
Careful how loud you say that nowadays 🤫
@@sixhundred3score6 GOOD POINT Thanks!!!
Theres broad advocacy now due to our worlds situation. Like peta only pita.
Awesomeness!!
Scary gary is one talented driver
Wait is this what test drive:eve of destruction was based on???
That looks like so much fun.
Reminds me of Cars 3.😁
Great sportsmanship at the end.
Man Scary Gary knows how to drive that bread van, those guys in the cars are having a hard time keeping up.
Vans like that tend to get moving pretty well , but they definitely lack top speed.
@@jeremybackman2782 tons of torque so when they're empty like that in the back they haul ass... to 35
Any freeway in America got to love 4 cylinders
Why was this so fun...
Awesome !!
I really wanted that j turn to work 😆
Scary gary is mad!
Wow,I really have to get outta New York.....seems like every other state has more fun!!!!
So that chase in Terminator 2 is possible.
hell yeah that civic driver got it done
Oh Snap!
That was great ! Scary Gary could drive 👏👏👏
Driven to destruction
Scary Gary has some nuts.
3:07 we got our selves a notter (someone gets that)(I probably spelled notter wrong but I'm not gonna fix it)
5:16 and the buick coming through with a functional passenger side door.
Hell yeah. It's all in good fun. No need to be d-bag 👍👍👍👍
Very good video and I gave you a thumbs up.
I give applause to the bread truck and the #68!!
Where is this track?!!! I love this!!
The pure raw heart rending emotion at 4:00
that was fkn awesome
thanks
These ppl know how to have fun.
its sad that truck looked really clean
I can die a happy man.
He messed himself up by thinking he could spin it around in reverse. Flipped it himself
Didn't realize this was a real event at demolition derbies, only ever seen it in Test Drive: Eve of Destruction. Course being a video game, they didn't really have to keep safety in mind, so the other cars would drive the wrong way and head on collision you!
How do they come up with this craziness. Hilarious
Dude is lucky that thing almost crumbled
I want to go there ! where is that speedway ? really good shows there
OMG....the hood up!!! The whole time!! LMAO
Am I the only one that is saying WHAT???? for destroying what appeared to be a decent step van????
Yes
Starving kids could have eaten that bread truck...
