just started playing this game, and this make me feel like such a big noob, you just run thru it like its nothing and the furthers i have gone is to the 3rd floor, only once
As somebody stuck on the third floor boss (at the moment): practice, a hell of a lot of it.
Also, the first elevator is quite easy to aquire and can be worth it (altough I prefer to run through floor 1 until I get it percect for that extra health (or a really good run).
I only beat the game because of luck, vertibreAK-47 and skull spitter synergy is very powerful.

note for gungeon newbies in scrawling the comments, full upgrade junkin no longer sacrifices himself to save your life, because he's grown too powerful and sees you and the familiar, and also takes over your victory screen which is neat. Aim true my fellow gungeoniers o7

You unlocked Junk (Junkan) as a regular item for beating a boss with his Knight tier. He becomes much rarer to get from junking chests, (I think 1% from a staggering 20%) but you can now get him as an item from Blue chests.
(Apologies if he explains this later in the video, I just saw he was confused when he saw the Junk unlock)

U can get the payday items with out stealing em, just shot up the store, when the shop keeper leaves he leaves the payday items behind.
Ya but you sacrifice a run you can go to the shop later on
@@cappuccio9732but on 4th floor You can do it because the shopkeeper won't be on 5th floor there is only the blacksmith

That is stealing. Only way without stealing is if you are at 10 curse he will hide and you can grab it and run.

Thank you for doing this. I always love to see game progression in rogue-likes and going back 700+ episodes is pretty tough since they updated a lot of things since then.
Fun fact: the normal water barrel was in the shop first floor
One time, I got baby good mimic, gold junk, and sir junkan. Imagine how easy the game becomes when you got junk mechs.
I just got that too, I was robot and eating tons of spice too lol so OP
The blood shrine can be realy usefull. I think its a glitch but when i used it as the bullet it went with me into my past and the boss had the aura and i killed him in a second.
I don't think it's meant to happen but they might of forgot to take it out since it's a shrine
I mean that makes sense since the past makes u get rid of all your items but that's not an item
There are a few things that follow into your past. not many though
Junkan blanks and revives you at 6 junk, but at 7 junk he stops doing that and just rockets in damage

Another way to unlock the pay day items are by angering the shopkeeper and returning after he kicks you out,the pay day item remains there and you can just grab it for free and unlocking it in the process
Something tells me this isn't your first time in the gungeon..

you actually have to enter the oubliette at least once to get the water barrel to spawn in the fireplace room consistently
fun thing I don't think you mentioned: the galactic medal of valor is the only item to carry over to the past when playing as all but two characters one of which is pilot!
There are at least a couple other things that will follow into your past. The blood shrine for one.
when you got junkan, I forgot that before unlocking him, you always have like a 20% shot to get him from breaking chests.
This is day 2 of learning the gungeoen i played earlier today got 3 master rounds died on the fourth level to this mouth thing, learning more and more thanks to you retromation
I remember when I got Junkan and Golden trash, it was cool and Junkan became a beast I mean more of a robot with rockets

The water barrel only spawns in the fire place room if you’ve flipped the switch once before.
Don’t know if anyone mentioned that but I felt really cool for knowing it even though this dude is 1000000 times better at the game than me!
Seeing your videos got me into the gungeon
The clown mask drill and loot bag can come from chests before you get them. I got them all in one run before stealing them
There's also an environmental thing that increases your curse by 9
Wish they made another update I loved this game
If I'm not mistaken the Finished Gun gives you a whopping 5 points of curse

@M33ble It's crazy OP. (Note that the Unfinished Gun doesn't give you any curse just the finished one that you get for essentially 100%ing the game)

It's last bullet fires a bullet that redirects all of the enemy bullets back at them dealing damage along with making it that u can get it out of a brown chest or black chest and it fires as fast as u can tap making u essentially invincible if u tap fast enough and also it's EXTREMLY ammo efficient so all around great gun (except for the curse)
I managed to get both junkin and gold junk in one run. I was so happy. It gives junkin a gold mech suit and he launched rockets and shoots lasers
one time I had the other barrel in the place you enter the secret floor, like thanks, I guess.

The water barrel only appears in the fireplace room if u have already have used the water barrel to unlock it previously

I was doing a run while watching this and got two Junkans as well. That's insane.
I got the mimic them junken and the mimic turned into him the I got the loot bag then clown mask. It was a fun run
Tfw you just straight up steal one of the dragun's kids and use it to kill them

You can piss off the shopkeeper by shooting and he will leave any 9999 cost items and you can just take them

I feel like when I started the game as the pilot it let me get better bc the the starter gun is so inaccurate bc when I switched over to the hunter I cleared the floors pretty consistently just need to work on getting hit less😅😅

oh man, after watching your first video i got a black chest that give me the gun which can deflect bullet when reload and the frog gun. I should have kill the dragun if I know that the frog gun can end the heart phase quickly.
And the scarf make you dodge into teleport suck
He could've gotten the king bomber synergy with coin crown right?
Yeah, kinda hurts to watch considering he mentioned that synergy a couple of minutes earlier.

The reason why after you junked red chest you didnt unlock golden junk is you alredy unlocked it then you junked purple chest is seacret floor.

thank god for the only thing im good at in gungeon is remembering boss patterns and correctly reading them making the snake the easiest second-floor boss.
That doesnt makes sense cause the snake has the most random patterns and attacks

Its guaranteed gold junk the first time you break a BLACK chest. At least thats how it was for me on both my save files.

I'm kinda regretting getting this on PS4. Not really, in still having fun, but I don't get used to precise movements with that thumb stick. It's impossible to me to avoid damage against most bosses.
Also getting the slingshot again and again is not helping this noob XD, lol. I don't understand if there is any science on how to get good loot and not garbage after garbage.

Water barrels don't show up in the fireplace room until you've beaten the Blobulord. They show up in a room near the fireplace if you've entered the Oubliette at least once.
After watching more videos apparently it was opening the fireplace with a water barrel
