The third movie is crazily chaotic but from the moment of sending off autobots and the fricking siege of Chicago... Um! It becomes pretty solid action film. Also Simons has some kind of character arc through the trilogy
In my opinion, 3 is also really good. 2 is definitely the worst of the trilogy, but I still can’t bring myself to hate it. 4 and 5 are awful, with 4’s only saving grace being Lockdown.

agreed, first film was the best of the bunch, it continues to age nicely, series began to go off the rails with the third film when Meagan Fox called Micheal Bay a fascist film director so he fired her and replaced her with a whole new actress with contrived excuse for why they shoe horned in a completely different love interest, then the fourth film is where it really went off the rails with all the blatant product placement and pandering to chinese box office and distasteful age of consent scene with that whole "romeo and juliet" law, that scene has made that film age terribly, not to mention the girl's boyfriend is about as two dimensional as a wall
I mean These films are fun But unfortunately these films tarnished the franchise’s reputation for the general public. Whilst the hardcore fans no the franchise has much unique and deeper lore. And the shows were amazing. TF Prime is peak Transformers. Best way to describe the show is that it’s the “Batman TAS” of transformers. ITS THAT GOOD
I like all 4 but 3 is best cuz it's dark and more war like (considering alien robots want to take over earth and rebuild cybertron) yes the first 2 have war scenes but it doesn't feel like a legit war unlike dark of the moon. Also i like seeing optimus go all war criminal
3 was horrible in every way (aside from the last 10 mins maybe and Laserbeak killing Ken Jeong) but it's still better than the unwatchable mess that is 2. There's nothing good about 2.
i actually really like revenge of the fallen, that scene when they both get zapped by tazer in the bathroom and their bodies are twitching on the floor while making wretching noises was just hilarious to me, i laugh everytime i see it, John Turturro continued to be excellent in it as well "the kid is an extortionist," and then there was that part when shia is in college and he drops his books and papers down a staircase and he yells a bunch of gibberish it's hilarious, man i haven't even seen the film in like a few years at this point and i still remember all these different scenes, revenge of the fallen always gets a bad rap but i guess it's become a bit of a guilty pleasure for me
