Great video. Some great shots of the angel fish they are stunning fish .you have captured some many great shots every time you do a video. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photography. I felt sad for the two octopus trying to mate. They are shy creatures to begin with and with the camara on them for a good while they gave up :( Otherwise great though. Maybe play some mood music for them next time..lol
Awwww! Poor stingray with a fish hook in his mouth! And, just got to the part where the eel has some sort of head wound. How sad. I have a short video of a green moray and he looked so odd to me and it took me a while to realize he had part of his lower jaw missing. I was wondering if it was a battle wound or if he was born that way.
@@GerryGreenGoProMermaid Indeed. In someone's video of the Blue Heron Bridge, you see a scrawled filefish with a hook and some line in his mouth. It made me wonder how, if I were there, I could net it and remove the hook and release it. Off topic, I am spending too much time on your videos!! ; )
@@Pete_R63 you’re relaxing! It’s good for you. I once followed a stingray and got yanked back by the guide who had seen a length of fishing line attached to the ray that I hadn’t seen. I felt really bad!
Cozumel provided the best overall diving and the visibility was excellent, but that was at the beginning of the year when the water was colder. Bonaire was the second best area, even though the usual squid by Salt Pier were absent this year. St Lucia and Barbados were pretty much on a par. Less visibility but each ones had their special moments, like the remora in St Lucia and all the stingrays in Barbados. So far for next year we have dive trips booked in Tobago, Bonaire and Grenada!
Amazing. What camera are you using? I spent a week in Maldives in April 2022 on Blue Force One and loved it. Can't wait to go again. Also went to Bonaire twice for a total of 3 weeks and am in love with that island (that is how I found your channel, through a Bonaire video of yours from 2016). I'll be back in Bonaire in March and hopefully again in July and November. I am amazed at how close up you get to the various sea creatures.
Hi Pete, I use. GoPro. I have used a 2,3,4,7,9;,9 and my next trip I’ll be using an 11. I also use video lights for some shots. My more recent videos are much clearer and steadier than my earlier ones. Check out my latest Bonaire videos. You might notice there are now fewer eagle rays which is sad. Also on my last trip I couldn’t find the usual squid by salt pier. We hope to return to Bonaire in September, but before that we’ve got two trips to the Maldives, and trips to the Philippines, Tobago and Grenada. Enjoy Bonaire.
@@GerryGreenGoProMermaid Apologies, I am just seeing this response. Bonaire was great last month, I am going again in July for two weeks and November for two weeks. I currently use my GoPro 11 but don't shoot in 4K (yet). I recently got a good video light and can't wait to use it. There are so many places I want to go. I am trying to expand my experiences as far as new places go. I have a tendency to go to the same places over and over. It looks like this year will only be to Bonaire for a total of 5 weeks and about 7 weeks in Key West- not counting a trip to the springs in Florida and to Blue Heron Bridge in Fla. I didn't see squid at the pier but was ecstatic to see an octopus at the pier. I posted the unedited video of that. I'll be waiting to see more video of your trips throughout the year! Cheers
@@Pete_R63 not sure where the pier squid have gone to! I used my GoPro11 etc in 4K on my last trip to the Maldives. The colour, clarity and stabilisation were brilliant! Don’t know whether you’ve seen it but here’s a link to it! ua-cam.com/video/rc5jvopnff8/v-deo.html Had to cancel a three week dive trip to the Philippines this month as I tripped over and fractured three of my vertebrae in the first week of March.. Almost OK now so in a weeks time we’ll be off to Tobago, hoping that I can manage the diving!. Enjoy Bonaire!
@@GerryGreenGoProMermaid Hope you heal fast. I'll be in Key West diving and doing other things for about a month. Maldives and Bonaire have spoiled me. What light are you using for your videos? Absolutely love how close you get in your videos. I have my GoPro on a stick that can expand to 57 inches to get closer. I am in the middle of watching two of your 2 hour videos. At 4K, those 2 hour videos must take forever to upload.
@@Pete_R63 I have a Mares video light set on a lighting tray which is compact, light and flexible. When I use the lights I remove the filter by just sliding it of the front of the housing. I also have it set on the narrowest field of vision . Luckily my buoyancy is good so I can usually hover quite closely and still. If permitted I use a pointer stick on a dead bit of coral or the sand to help keep still. Regarding the length of time to upload the longer 4K videos yes it does take several hours but I can then get on with repacking everything ready for the next trip!
Wonderful photography, Gerry! I am in need of high resolution (4k and above) Caribbean fish and sealife footage for a large scale video installation - do you make your footage available for purchase / licensing? If no would you consider doing so? If you are interested do you have a contact email where I can reach you? Thank you! - Amber
Currently I don’t produce videos for licensing or for purchase. They all go on UA-cam and I earn revenue from the adverts. I’m not sure how it would work? I am currently working on a fairly long video featuring diving this year in Mexico, Sr Lucia, Bonaire and Barbados which will be completed by the end of the year.
Magnifique poisson ,balet magestueux des raies , et tres belle musique.Convient pour meditation💙
