Thanks! The holster I'm using was made by DeepConcealment but they are now out of business. This is really an awesome pistol to shoot just remember to do the zip tie modification to prevent the frame from cracking.
First you will need a cable tie similar to the one in the video. You will then remove the pin in the lower grip section and pull out the mainspring housing with the mainspring. Next you will remove the mainspring then drill a hole just large enough for the zip tie to fit through at the bottom of where the mainspring sits. Next you will tread the cable tie through the hole then replace the mainspring making sure that when you bring both ends of the cable tie up they are even with each other. Then you will place the housing with the tie up into the gun (Both ends of the cable tie pointing up) with the end that has the catch going behind the pin in the frame. Just insert it enough so that one end is going over the silver pin in the frame and the other end can connet to it. Now comes the hardest part and that is to connect the ends of the cable tie which I use a pair of really thin but long needle nose plies. Once you get the ends connected start to tighten the cable tie while making sure the mainspring housing is going up into the grip of the frame. Don't tighten it all the way yet; put the pin back in to retain the housing and once that is done pull the tension till the tie is touching the silver pin in the frame. Once it's touching pull the cable tie till it clicks twice then stop and trim the excess. Your done.
The blowback on this pistol is Awesome. I personally feel this pistol is one of the top three co2 blowback pistols available. Now the downside.....Unfortunately this pistol has a parts quality problem. The frame is made of a less durable polymer and can crack very easily and the trigger bar is made of a pot metal that will break over time.
Sucks about the frame cracking. I almost bought this a few days ago but there were way too many negative comments about that particular problem. When there're co,ment about random different issues I just chalk that up to inexperience, but this was very particular. I love this pistol. Old-school, but sleek in a 90's way. I grabbed the Springfield Armory XDM full size in bi-color instead. Still got to add another one to the collection.
I have not picked up one of the XDM's yet. Now that I'm able to stop the frame from cracking I actually think that the USP blowback is the best pistol umarex makes next to the 92A1 then the Glock 17 Gen4. Unfortunately the USP still has a major flaw and that is the material that the trigger bar is made of. They will break over time.
@turbo15100 I know one thing, I can tell the nail on your thumb has been loading a boat load of BB mags. I have the same broken corner on my nail 🤣. Anyway dude, since I know my way around these air pistols pretty well I went ahead and bought this USP. Your explanation is tricky but I'm pretty sure I got it. I gotta say, that's a pretty creative idea. A bid crude, but it works and you can't see it so who cares. I have this saved to my favorites so I can get to it ASAP if I need it. Fingers crossed 🤞. Thanks, man! PS I have the Glock 17 G4 and the two of the Beretta M92A1! Easily my two best Umarex pistols. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the reply. It's awesome that you notice small details in the things you view and that you already know a lot about these pistols.@@BostonWhoFan515
Hope you read this. So if you only fire in single action the frame won't crack? I thought the cracking issue was due to a strong blowback action and poor frame quality.
Hey dude my trigger does not work I tried to repair it myself It didn't work. pls help me idk who else to get help from, you seem to have fixed the issue that I have pls help
If you like you can send it to me and I'll pay for the return postage to you with a tracking number of course. If you decide to do it you can just send the frame.
Bruh, Although your intentions were good, your video on this mod is a fail. What you should have done, is show us, by doing the mod for us, step by step. That would have been so awesome. I too have purchased my second one because of the exact same problem. I wish you could have shown what your talking about. To just say what you did, it just doesn't cut it bro. I would have loved to have done this mod. How I wish I knew what your talking about "tie rap in between the dow, and how to actually execute this mod, it has to be shown brother.
I'm sorry. The video was basically an overview of the pistols performance but I did briefly discuss the fix for the cracking frames. Since that video I've only had one person ask about how to perform the fix. There just wasn't enough interest for me to do a video on it. If you are really interested send me an email and I will send you detailed instructions on the modification.
Hey bro, Thanks for the video regardless! As I went back and read my comment I felt it was a little harsh. My apologies. I ended up figuring out what you did after all. By pausing the video a few times I did figure it out so thank you
@@rmoreno6014 I am happy you were able to do the repair. It just didn't seem as though many people were interested at the time. Lately it seems that quite a few people are interested.
A mechanical engineer AND a damn good combat shooter to boot....I commend you on the back strap spring fix. Well done sir! Keep it in the X-Ring !
Thank you for the kind words sir. I truly appreciate it.
Nice shooting, what holster are you using? My USP is setup similar. Looking to get this BB gun for cheap training.

I wonder if you could buy a after market trigger bar for it
I don't think anyone make it for this pistol. Umarex never really acknowledged the problems with this pistol.
Very nice review, I'm wondering how the blowback feels? Is it heavy and realistic?

Hey turbo, i bought this gun but luckily havent started shooting it yet. I would love to get a diagram on how to modify. If you are still offering.
I almost forgot to ask. Is making your own trigger bar with 3D printer an option?
I just got it too and I would love to see how to do the zip tie mod
Hello Is the magazine metal or plastic?
The magazines are metal.

Almost!! Bought this yesterday!! Would of been disappointing if it cracked
This or the p320 x carry?
This!
is it possible to attach some other iron sights or are these fixed on to the slide?
Unfortunately not. The sights are molded into the slide and are non adjustable.
