Love this video. The main guy that does all the talking is just so excited about everything. One of the best "studio tour" videos Ive watched, simply because of how genuine and excited he is about everything hes got. Great job.
It will be great to upload at least in 2k quality video. And thank you for this great series ❤
Thanks for watching. I have also fixed the quality of my future videos.
A firm believer in clean sight lines forward and chaos off to the side .. or at least in this case, highly organized chaos ..
I try and do the same but it doesn't always work out.
Really cool walkthrough of an intricate, personalized setup. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to watch!
great series Craig, I’m really getting drawn to a Moog One right now it seems like the god of synths with a price tag to match, I already have 6 Moogs and there is nothing that sounds like those filters despite the changes with Moog lately, look forward to seeing more, thanks for putting it together 👌🏼
I have flip flopped between getting the Moog One and not getting it. I don't think it's going to make my music $10,000 better or it will make it $10,000 more fun to make music so I will be passing for now.
Also, thank you for the kind words. There are more in the series coming. Trying to schedule people in music can be a little challenging hahahhahaaha.
This is turning into an excellent series Craig. Look forward to seeing many more creative spaces
Thank you, I have some solid ones lined up for summer when they get back from tour.
What an amazing set up! Was feeling good about my own rig, then see these guys from Kron do it and see how much potential for growth there is! They also backed it up with a great live performance! Thanks for sharing and well done KRON!
100% It's all well and good to have an amazing setup but these guys use all of the equipment and like you said backed it up with the performance!
I love their contrasting personalities. Their literally both of my personalities lol. Super passionate but also super chill, quiet, and not really social.
Talking with them both off camera after the shoot they both have a massive amount of knowledge and love for creating and playing music.
@@craigwilliamsmusic Yes! I can totally see that. Just look at that beautiful studio!!
Very impressive. I would love to see how they handled the MIDI and audio routing. That’s a lot of I/o to handle.
I saw they use a motu Midi
Everything is being run into a Motu 8x8 midi interface and a 8 channel pre-amp. MIDI can be send to either of the sequencers (Maschine + / Cirklon) or the instruments to control them.
I love the invisible cables in this one. 😅
100% I came home and looked at all the cables in my studio and started getting the itch to fix them all hahahahaha
amazingly lots of noise in that studio , clean and good looking studio
It almost made me want to re-wire my studio again........ almost.
Great insight guys , you mention the Yamaha Grooveboxes , have you had a play on the Roland MC909 and MC505, ? i guess the sounds in the MC505 werent as polished as the Yamahas. But the MC909 sounded heaps better imo?
Thought about an ERM Multiclock or Midronone for master clock ?
Your thoughts appreciated.
✌️ 🇦🇺 🪃
KRON YEAH!
Wish we got a desk run down and to see how they run all audio & midi into the daw. Amazing setup though 🙏🏾
+1, so clean and nice, would have loved to know how they do it

What is that thing on the wall, that looks like a light shutter, but plays video too???
It's a light instillation that they built to take to the shows. Each of the layers can be taken apart for transport. This way they can have their own lights for smaller venues.
very cool
What do they use to sync the lights?
yummy ! what's the analog mixer model ?
fyi, there's now the Dtronics DT1000 (replica of the pg1000 programming module) you can use to program the D-05 and D50. Mine should be coming in sometime this week.
Oh nice, I'll have to take a look.
How would the melotron guy get a word in?
I'm def the same way when I get talking about gear.
Agreed, that guy can talk and talk and talk
Hi, great video 🎉 what are the drum pads that the Nord is plugged into called?
it's a TrapKAT XL it's $2800
@@donnydarko7624 ah awesome! Shame about the price tag… Do Behringer do one? 😅
@@TheStreamingShed No, but the Nord is sweet, although you can't load samples on it just does synthesis. You can send midi notes to other devices with it though. Yamaha, Roland, Alesis, Korg, Theres a company called DDrum that make some, and that brand KAT has made other models in the past. Some hav sample memory, but I'm not sure what ones do.
Yeah the midi drum pads felt really good not sure it was $2800 good but it would be pretty awesome to have in the studio.
@@craigwilliamsmusic The Nord's fetch over a grand now as well
What are the mixers they are using? X2
Take a shot on every beeped out curse word😢 this dude takes the record 😂😂😂
hahahahahahaha just hyped to talk about awesome instruments
@@craigwilliamsmusic I think most of us that have watched this video can relate to that. lol
😎
What is it with grooveboxes and them needing to be the master clock.
It's so they can sync the two sequencers together and the delay timing.
Yall got a super Gemini on order? I feel like it's ideal for you guys use case.
100% agree, I think for them to purchase one of those something else would have to go.
@@craigwilliamsmusic Right? I can't wait to start seeing more videos of ppl playing it.
Where can I see the show or hear the music?
There is a live performance at the end of the video. They have music on spotify (link in the description) and their instagram has a load of great videos.
What was the name of that fancy mixer??
Looks like Play Differently Model One series
As @konnekta mentioned it's the Model One Series.
A bit strange to see those Neumann's alongside with other gear. They are good (I had it for a long time), but not classy at all.
They had these with a sub and it sounded pretty amazing in there.
what happens when the power goes out ;)
Sleep time.
Does the other guy speak?
his like Chris Lowe in Pet Shop Boys 😂
Yes, he’s Michael ;)
Amazing Gear and Studio but accoustic wise the room seems to have a lot of reverb and i see no real accoustic treatment. Besides that they have top notch gear as well converters and then those Neumann Speaker. Dont get me wrong they‘re good speaker but they do not line up with the quality of gear they have. But i think this is often a problem because the lack of possibilities to listen and compare a bunch of good monitors before you buy…
Absolutely agree with you!
They had the sub to go along with those monitors and it sounded really really good. I was pretty surprised at the sound.
huh? Neumann is arguably among the top 5 or top 10 studio monitor manufacturers.
This studio needs some acoustic treatment. 😊
I think their thinking is they don't mix down their projects so as long as the room sounds pretty good they're happy
@@craigwilliamsmusic Yeah, it was just my first thought when I heard the interview. Their music sounds fantastic, no doubt. 👍
Why is he an asshole because he smoke's ? Calm down don't judge
I think it was more that the dude wouldn't let him leave.
Have a beer grow up
Not sure what you mean by this but ok.
Maschine + is trash.
Get a real sampler - Octatrack mk2
I think you can hear in the performance at the end of the video that the Maschine + is working out just fine for them.
I'm sure make a living off your music where your opinion holds more value than their moog one huh?
