@@i.i1215 I’m mixed race and I don’t sound like that either, but I think what they’re referring to is AAVE (African American Vernacular English) previously known as “Ebonics”. Not all Black Americans speak that way and it’s more of a cultural feature now, but as with all stereotypes, they became stereotypes for a reason (a.k.a. enough people of a certain culture/ethnicity were speaking or acting a certain way that enough other people took notice, ergo, the stereotype was born). 💁🏽♀️
It’s not just the accent, it’s the changes in pitch that she gets so right. Like when she first says “Damn”!at the beginning

If you listen to people who have left the church of Scientology they'll tell you, he does it to protect them from their reach and to respect Katie's wishes upon the divorce. Lots of parents have messy divorces. He's still allowed to pay attention to a coworker talk about her family. We have no idea how he feels or anything. Maybe just worry about your own circle?
