That bathtub is AMAZING and you deserve it. I've been a vet tech for 20 years and I love seeing your animals. I recently lost my 21 and 18 year old kitties a week apart which has been really hard. It can't be compared to losing your mom (I'm SO sorry for your loss) but it's been rough. We rescued a black feral cat last year so that has helped a little and I LOVE seeing your babies. You are wonderful and I think you are doing an amazing job at handling everything and loving your family and yourself. And also I was hoping 2024 would be great but I'm struggling too so thank you for making me feel less alone.

Hi Lauren! I'm a stay home mom and absolutely love it. I'm 35 and grieving the loss of my beloved grandfather (more my father because he raised me) and it is definitely a one day at a time process. I heard someone say recently that it doesn't get easier, you get use to it and I thought how true that is. God has truly helped me to move forward along with family and friends. My mom went home in 2012, and I still have days like that; a comfort is that time and the Lord does heal a little of it, and I smile a lot more about my sweet mom than cry. It's a journey and how you feel when you feel it, whatever it is, is okay, and it's great that you talked with someone about it. Journaling has also been a solace, when you just need to get some thoughts out! Praying for you today!
For me it was the missed conversations with my Mom. Our routine was a good talk as I drove to work each day. I am in Texas, she was in Arkansas and phone conversations were our daily thing. Just let the tears fall sweetie, it it part of the healing process.

Hi Lauren! I just turned 58. I've been working as a pharmacy technician 24 years this year. I'm on the run more now than I've ever been. I'm in a new home with my 85 year old mom who has dementia. 😅
I’m so sorry about the loss of your mom. You will always be sad about it but it will get easier. However it takes a long time. My aunt passed away in a fire when I was 18 (20 yrs ago) and I was extremely close with her. I cried off and on for a year I’d say. Keeping busy and being With positive people makes a big difference.

Hi Lauren, welcome back😊 I am partially retired but I love working, so I don’t think I will ever completely retire. I lost both of my parents in 2023 & I was living with them & caring for them. I miss them so much! I live in Tucson Arizona. I went to a wellness center myself as well to help get through the grieving process. I am so glad you took the time to do the same thing as well. But I became bored, had a part time job fall into my lap, and now I work three days a week for a law firm as an Intake. And just in December I was offered the billing role as well. I’m 68 and most of the attorneys are late 20’s and in their 30’s. I LOVE the job and team…..what a career change! I’ll work as long as I can!!

Hi Lauren I’m 67 and worked over 30 years in federal law enforcement as an administrative assistant. My husband died 7 years ago. We were together 42 years- still heart wrenching at times- you just flat out miss them-you are in a busy season of life- that will help- keep up the good work and don’t worry abt such a tough schedule all the time. I feel better when I’m organized so I get it but sometimes it is what it is!
My three kids are grown and the last two finished college in 2022! I quit my full time job when the twins 7 mos old. When they started school, I went to work part time at their school and eventually full time and I’m still there. I hope to retire next year from the school system ( special Ed aide) I will probably work from home or start my own business hopefully. Life goes by so fast (I’m a grand- Mom now) and the cost of living keeps going up! We grow many vegetables during the summer and freeze. I had tomatoes until December!Greetings from the South! I'm very sorry for the loss of your mom, and that you are in pain Lauren. It's the price we pay, the process we must go through when we lose someone so dear to us. I went through the same when I lost my mom... one moment, you're fine, and the next, you're engulfed in sadness, broken-hearted, lost, and ugly crying. Just remember, she's always with you. There is a part of her in most everything you do, and in the words you speak. Time does help ease the pain and loss, but there is no timetable. We all process and manage our loss differently. You are right where you are suppose to be. May God bless you and your family💝❤️🔥💖🙏🏻☝️

Your mom, raised a beautiful person, and May her soul rest in peace. You are so caring and loving, especially toward your kids and they r blessed to have you, and your dear husband. Makes me sad that ur sad. When we have loss unfortunately the world doesn’t stop for us to grieve. I heard it somewhere where life keeps going because we aren’t meant to stay in grief. Also, don’t strive for happiness or finding it but rather enjoy what u do have. Chose joy “in-joy”.

I don’t think I’ve shared that I will be 70 in a couple months and still enjoy working - not ready to retire quite yet. I work at an energy company in Houston and my position is centered around HR, philanthropy and our Houston office facilities. It’s a very diverse position which is what makes it so enjoyable to me. I’m also the blessed mama of four amazing children, and doubly blessed with three beautiful grandchildren. My family is the focus of my being and I love your work/home life videos that show we can do it all. We just need to have plans and tools that work for us individually. I lost my mom at the age of 90. But she died in my arms and just that makes me feel peace. It was hard sorting out 90 years. But I did it with her blessing. She was my best friend. Peace is how you start❤

I am a teacher/director for a preschool I run. I have been there for 25 years! I am retiring from the education field in June. I have been in the field for over 30 years. I want to work part time but I have no idea what that next chapter will be 😊. I lost my mom in October of 2022 and felt like I haven’t had time to mourn her loss. I have been on auto pilot and looking forward to having some time to feel that process.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your mom, and that you are in pain Lauren. It's the price we pay, the process we must go through when we lose someone so dear to us.
I went through the same when I lost my mom... one moment, you're fine, and the next, you're engulfed in sadness, broken-hearted, lost, and ugly crying.
Just remember, she's always with you. There is a part of her in most everything you do, and in the words you speak.
Time does help ease the pain and loss, but there is no timetable. We all process and manage our loss differently. You are right where you are suppose to be. May God bless you and your family💝❤️🔥💖🙏🏻☝️

I was blessed, to have an Angel for a mom, but around Holidays, it is the hardest.

Makes me sad that ur sad. When we have loss unfortunately the world doesn’t stop for us to grieve. I heard it somewhere where life keeps going because we aren’t meant to stay in grief. Also, don’t strive for happiness or finding it but rather enjoy what u do have. Chose joy “in-joy”.

Hi Lauren! I am a 65 year old retired nurse. It is funny what you said you would do if you won the Lotto, I do all of that, minus the chickens, LOL, now that I am not working. I love to cook, garden, decorate and spend time with my cat. My husband loves all the new recipes he gets to try. I don’t think I’ve shared that I will be 70 in a couple months and still enjoy working - not ready to retire quite yet. I work at an energy company in Houston and my position is centered around HR, philanthropy and our Houston office facilities. It’s a very diverse position which is what makes it so enjoyable to me. I’m also the blessed mama of four amazing children, and doubly blessed with three beautiful grandchildren. My family is the focus of my being and I love your work/home life videos that show we can do it all. We just need to have plans and tools that work for us individually. You provide wonderful inspiration in achieving our aspirations. ❤️

I lost my mom at the age of 90. But she died in my arms and just that makes me feel peace. It was hard sorting out 90 years. But I did it with her blessing. She was my best friend. Peace is how you start❤

I am a teacher/director for a preschool I run. I have been there for 25 years! I am retiring from the education field in June. I have been in the field for over 30 years. I want to work part time but I have no idea what that next chapter will be 😊. I lost my mom in October of 2022 and felt like I haven’t had time to mourn her loss. I have been on auto pilot and looking forward to having some time to feel that process.
