Can someone explain to me what theyre fighting here exactly? Why wouldnt you just allow them access to their meter? Im in Australia so this is a bit confusing.
As pre pay meters are essentially smart meters, could you refuse to have them the same as you can refuse to have the smart meters they're trying to push on everyone ??
Hi Scottishsovereign. I was in Court several days ago to fight against a British Gas Warrant. A Judge said she is allowing the rights of entry. "Over debt" !!! and she said, "it's not health and safety" !!! So it is a statutory warrant and the it is the 1986 gas act that requires "my consent". I am absolutely struggling to deal with all of this matter and although I would love to appeal to the high court and I have not tried to get a stay on the warrant as I am simply finding it difficult to sort out and understand! I do not know how to! I want to get an injunction and want the Judge to face Justice. I am worried as I am not aware of anyone, locally, who really has the 'legal knowledge, understands my rights, the laws and acts' when the British Gas come here with the Warrants. I need help! This didn't work. The only method that stands a chance is to bolt your doors shut. At all times! Expect the utility company to give you zero notice of their arrivals.
I've just received a letter from British gas saying they going to send a warrant to enter my premises because I am in debt of £900 quid ? Can any one tell me what I shud doo ?
