The Giants want to go in a new direction. They are putting financial assets into positions of football importance. This is very smart. They didn’t win with Barkley, McKinney etc. They invested into positions of importance- WR, QB , DE, DT, CB, LB and OL…. Again a smart move. The Giants will be a passing offense and a running back by committee team under Brian Daboll. Adding veteran offensive linemen at the guard position is also smart. Adding a WR1 in the draft is smart. Trading for a stud DE is smart. The Giants have been losing for the past 10+ years by not being smart to put financial assets in place, bad drafts, bad free agency etc. Shoen is upgrading the rooster the right way by spending in positions that make a difference. Smart, smart, smart…. LGG

The Giants have a UDFA named Elijah Chatman from SMU. He stands at 5'11" and weighs around 280 lbs. He's been a DT in college, which probably explains why he never got drafted. Yet, if you watch the film on him, his play is quite impressive. This dude gets into the backfield and makes plays. Maybe he's too small to play DT at the pro level but I hope the Giants find a home for him. Maybe all he needs to do is drop 20 lbs and play defensive end, or drop another 10-20 lbs and play inside LB. My point: he looks like a playmaker and I'm hoping they figure out how to utilize him on defense. Just go to UA-cam and input his name, then watch some film on him and you'll see what I mean. Thanks.

@@BowlerJ1 SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE DESCRIBING WARREN SAPP. POWER & QUICKNESS CAN BEAT HEIGHT ON THE LINE BECAUSE IT PRESENTS A DIFFERENT SET OF CHALLENGES FOR GUARDS TO HANDLE.

I watched some video of 2022, Jones looked like a franchise QB to me. He was throwing to Richie James and David Sills, later he had Hodgins. They had no TE that could catch the ball, Bellinger was a rookie and got poked in the eye so any impact he could have made he didn't. I do think the oline was better in 2022, last season the oline got 2 QBs hurt and they had to go to a rookie third stringer. Even the Giants say they did NOT do right by Jones. So Barkley is gone, it's Jones team now, I think in the pure pass offense Dabol prefers Barkley has no usefulness at anything over 7-9 million a year. It's correct to say you don't have a 40 mill QB handing off all game to a 12 mil RB.

He had 3200 yds in 2022 with wr2, wr4, and wr6 at best. With this crew 4000 yds IS EXPECTED.

No doubt Danny has to pick up the slack. When you get paid the money there are no more excuses.

Does Schoen take accountability for that horrible O line?

I don’t believe they were ever trying to trade up for Drake Maye… Joe wanted to give Danny some weapons and a fighting chance this year.

They could have franchised Barkley for $12 million and instead they replaced him with Singletary for $5.5 million. A threat like Barkley would slow down the pass rush and keep the defense honest. Singletary isn't going to do that. DJ would not just be handing the ball to Barkley, he would have been throwing it to him too. So they saved $6 million and now they have an ordinary RB. The Giants were penny-wise and pound-foolish.

Having a superstar RB is a luxury only good teams can afford to have. We have to get everything else in order first.

Jones will be our problem one more year due to his injury clause and fans will love it and ask us rally behind Jones , he’s an injury prone player. Joe deserves to be fired for not exercising his 5th year option and giving him a two year look. If he did Jones wouldn’t be here

It’s the Joe Schoen Clown show, and his inability to sign Saquon Barkley to a better deal. Joe Schoen is on the hot seat, and if Daniel Jones does not play well, Joe Schoen should be fired at the end of the season.

    JOE SCHOEN would have traded, B.SANDERS, J.BROWN, W.PAYTON, E.SMITH, E.DICKERSON, T.DORSET, & GAYLE SAYERS, FOR DANIEL JONES. 🤯
