Giving should be a worship to our Father more than just doing it to get something out of God. Let's serve and worship God as our Father not just as a Provider. Let's see God for who He is. That's what true worship is...

that's what I thought when I was watching the video.
I agree with you worship is important - she was just getting by in life. I think God wants to give his children wisdom to be more and do more for his kingdom as well as having a beautiful relationship with Him.
But there is an earthly promise to it so people must claim the promises God has given. His promises are yes and amen. Do it as obedience to the law and claim the promise to it.
In the bible it says that God loves a "Glad giver". It doesnt say God loves a giver who only gives with the secret agenda to get.
I just want money for the Kingdom, freely we have been given, freely give..

I love how direct Barbara is at the end when she says "If your source isn't the Lord then your in trouble". I have just come to understand this on a deeper level. I have set aside my first tithe and excited by what Yahweh will do. I can do all things through Yeshua who strengthens me. Starting small with 10% and will increase...
This inspired me because I also want to be a fashion designer at 44 single mom with two young boys 6 and 8.

This is all true. I don't even have an "official" job anymore so I just travel as a minister and worshiper, but because I started tithing several years ago (sometimes 20%) the Lord has been faithful _every single time!_
Take the risk... move into giving by taking a step of faith... and you will see the hand of the Lord move in your life!

Sad that the marriage dint hold after they came to the Lord. Amazing how she held her faith through a divorce and pneumonia. Wonder what she lives for now. Maybe to serve God. Im a housewife and I started with a plan to sow $40 to where ever the Lord lead me, get ten fold which is $400, tithe $40, and then sow the $360... and keep going without pocketing any of the money (my husband is my pastor in a poor community w/no salary, so this would eventually provide his salary). Well someone gave my family $400 a week after I sowed $40 and my husband paid some bills. I did a side job to make more money, tithed $40 and sowed $360, and someone paid $3600 of our bills in another week! I was greatful but frustrated because the money wasn't coming directly to me and kept getting spent on bills instead of getting sown and tithed to provide my pastor with a income. Well I decided to stop whinning and prayed for more side jobs... my son pops up with some sewing work a few weeks ago and I'm back on track!

I’ve seen several stories like this from the 700 club where God helped people overcome their financial struggles and while I believe that could be true in their lives, I’m afraid people will look at these stories and look to God to “get rich”.
It encourages people - many struggling Christians that want to be a blessing to others and still love God. When you never have anything - you can give time (yes), but to build a well for water or finance a child. Wow!
I believe that when you give freely and generously in God's Kingdom, you cannot but expect to be blessed. "Give and it shall be given unto you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.... " - Luke 6:38
"Do this and see if I will not open up the floodgates of heaven and see if I will not pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to contain it" - Mal 3v10

We can all share and help people around us that need help.

@@700club The reason i said that was yesterday I saw a CBN video which told people that if they wanted their business' to succeed and to have abundance, they needed to tithe. Not only that, but tithing to CBN was a particularly good idea. Don't get me wrong; giving anonymously for charity and not using it as a tax deduction is a good and Godly thing to do. Therefore I find it disgusting for anyone to say 'give us money and God will give you more money for your generosity'. That's evil. So, I hope whoever reads this understands that God adores charity bit detests profiteering.
