"I'm not listening to the same thing I listened to 3 years ago." Meanwhile me here hasn't changed my playlist since 2010 and still rocking the same 20 songs by Blink, Fall Out Boy, Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens.
I have 3 daughters ranging from 27 to 17 and I have morphed into other music thanks to them exposing me to new stuff. If it wasn't for them, I would probably still be listening to the classic rock shit I grew up with. I like that stuff, but I love SWS, PTV, ADTR, etc.
There’s nothing wrong with listening to the music that brings you peace and joy. Some always listen to the same music for anxiety reasons. But I will say there’s some great stuff out there don’t miss out 🤘🏼
I met Kellin after his show here in Melbourne 1/12 and had a good conversation with him and shared some laughs! also took some seflies and videos together! hes most certainly a humble and amazing human!
I was waiting for this to be out! But it was crazy being in the call hearing Kellin talk about all the stuff happening. 😮 So excited to hear the rest of “Complete Collapse” really soon!
This was such a cool in depth interview! I can totally see that Copeland is Kellin's mini me 😂 It was great to hear about the album making process and super stoked that they want to go the analog way ... and weird 🔥 Super excited for Kellin learning how to play guitar too ! And I love how they want to actually connect with their fans at shows ... it means a lot 🧡 So looking forward to 10/14!!!
We always all want more as like human nature even, but I always loved how Kellin is “the singer” it’s more powerful even not playing an instrument live. Even if you couldn’t play any instrument it just shows how the voice is your instrument and you are the front carrier of the message. It’s like the truest window of raw artistry. Always loved that!!
Kellin may not like one off festivals too much but he killed it at Blue Ridge rock fest. I've seen SWS 3x (The world tour, Warped tour, and now BR) and it was the best SWS performance I've ever been to. I mean, hell, he had us do a wall of death. A wall of death at a SWS set. It was awesome.
@@sinnersshadow6627 The crowd is divided into two sides and they all stand far back. Upon the vocalist's command everyone wanting to participate rushes into the person running towards you
The best thing that kellin is I'm sure realizing now from just being a singer is playing guitar and singing at the same time is way harder than just singing and just singing. I just watched him play wonder wall and the first thing I noticed is how timid his singing went because he was playing guitar. It really grounds you.
The host, Morgan, IMO, doesn't do a great job as an interviewer. I love the guests, but I feel a bit pushed away by the host's manner.. IDK, feels generic and blunt-ish, almost uninformed. That's just me. Everyone usually grows and gets a better feel for things, plus Kellin is a legend, too. So there might be some pressure and nerves there.
Same. He was presumptuous and judgmental, saying things like do your kids see you as a “weirdo” or “I don’t interview anyone I don’t like.” Kind of backhanded maybe, and a judgmental tone of voice
I can’t deal with this interviewer lol. He’s so hard to watch and listen to! Loved seeing Kellin though, I’m so excited about their new stuff! It was so awkward when the interviewer didn’t know the album hadn’t been released yet😂
I’m fairly new to SWS, I started listening to them a couple of months ago and i rlly dig them. One of the standout aspects of the band for me has been Kellin, his voice, personality, stage presence, and overall vibe. Because of that, I’ve always had a very positive image of him. From the interviews and performances I’ve watched on UA-cam and elsewhere, he seems like such a nice person, right? Naturally, a ton of sws stuff has been popping up on my social media, which I’m happy about. But almost every time I check the comments, I see people saying that Kellin “used to be and still is an asshole” or that “fame got to his head” (their words not mine). I’m just very confused, he doesn’t seem like that at all, and I refuse to believe it. All I’ve been seeing is mostly negativity toward him in the scene. I still like him a lot, though. Am I being misinformed? I think I am. I just don’t think it’s true and would love some real unbiased confirmation yk? (srry for the long text)
I just did a “Try Not to Sing Along” challenge on my channel. The only person who made me absolutely fumble was Kellin from Sleeping With Sirens. They remind me of the glory days of Emo music. #completecollapse
James Iha would be a great person to work with talk about genius rock god him an Billy are forever my inspiration as a kid probably 2 of thee most prolific writers of all time you would be blessed to have such a legend work with you Kellin
Haven't people been referring to songs as "record" for decades? It always seemed that way to me. The word is used for way too many things, though, for sure.
Interviewer needs to be more present, you can tell he was just active listening. Reminds me of mainstream radio stations with superficial hosts that can’t connect with their hosts because of their personalities. The conversation does now flow.
Tell Kellin He needs to do a collaboration with The Color Fred and Imari Tones. Also it would be great to see him on a Disciple Album/Song! www.youtube.com/@TheColorFred www.youtube.com/@imaritones www.youtube.com/@disciplerocks
Damn...every time i get interested on kellins take on certain subjects related to the question that the interviewer asks, he (the interviewer) completely changes the subject(s). Guess its tailored for the people with short attention spans.
20:19 Is he being serious? 🤔 "A couple years ago"? You live under a rock, guy? People have been referring to songs as "records" for decades. It was extremely common on the 80's. They'd call songs records or hit songs "hit records". But it's been used until this day. Just became less common into the 2000s, but hip hop has regularly used the term throughout. It's nothing new whatsoever.
He does have a pretty high-pitched voice, but I think it's just the contrast between the music they make and when they're in other contexts, see what I mean? Not that they usually sound this demonic, right? 😅

I like what the interviewer said, connection is the opposite of depression. I try to connect with everyone too when I see people ❤
I met Kellin after his show here in Melbourne 1/12 and had a good conversation with him and shared some laughs! also took some seflies and videos together! hes most certainly a humble and amazing human!

I didn’t realize that Kellin was from the town over from me. It’s crazy to think someone famous lived less than an hour from me at one point in time
Kellin, thank you for mentioning MCR❤and I've never seen them alive either. You are a legend and will always be 🌟KICK ME is my fav btw
