I had super bad acne for yearssss, was on a diet and i still had acne, went vegan and it was the same for 3 years and then i gave up after a while and i stopped washing my face like no washing with skincare and just water in the shower and it cleared out my face completely! Also dont pick on ur skin! I maybe 4 times a year get acne bc i start picking on my skin :(( and it breaks out for a week or so

@@sofiacantuusame here! After years and years of trying everything, I stopped using any products, skincare or makeup, so just washing my face with a cotton pad and cold water twice a day, and after 3 months my skin completely cleared up (it did take 3 hard months)

I had never had acne my entire life until i turned 21 years old and what changed was my hormones, i removed myself off hormonal birth control after trying many different types, it took about a year after coming off hormonal birth control for my body to get back in balance but it’s worth talking to your doctor about if you think that might be a factor, also getting your hormone levels checked is a great first step into finding out… I highly recommend going to a naturopath who specializes in women’s health… crazy the amount you will find out about your health

Hannah I can't thank you enough for your vlogs and you being so honest! As a person with acne myself it really resonates with me that you are openly trying to find out the root cause instead of taking accurate and I hope more girls look up to you on this matter and try healing their skin from within. From my experience (I've been into treating my acne for 7 years!) the root cause that triggers my skin the most is pcos caused by high androgen levels (free testosterone to be precise). For a past few years I've changed my diet to reduce insulin spikes, added more protein and fiber and also drink spearmint tea to balance out my hormones naturally. The best thing that's been helpful for my skin in terms of skincare is adapalene (differin) which is kind of a topical retinoid prescribed by a doctor. It took some time for it to start working but now I no longer get deep cystic acne that leaves scarring. Thank you so much for your journey, Hannah! We are all here need some more patience and love for our skin

Something that I’ve always loved about your channel is that you’re honest and true! I’ve struggled with acne a lot and I can attest to how much it messes with self confidence, but I love how you’re preaching being patient. Personally for me, food affected my acne more than anything. I notice that whenever I am eating a lot of gluten or dairy I can see flare ups, and I try to balance my gut health the best I can. I hope that you find what works for you and I’d love to hear more about it in the future! It’s a huge comfort seeing someone else going through that

Thank you for being so open! I believe that is so important especially for young girls who are also suffering from acne. I’ve been trying so hard for years to heal my acne from the outside but what really helped me was changing what I give my body to heal. I believe you know a lot about what to eat ab not already.. what showed to be extremely crucial for most girls is higher protein. Also Omega 3 is ab absolute game changer (especially since EPA is anti inflammatory and that part of omega is only available in fish or fishoil). Then make sure to clean not only your gut but also liver(there is a lot on which food to eat to support your liver online) I really wish you all the best and that you can reduce the acne again! You are so beautiful in and out anyway💓

i love how open you are with acne!
i have suffered with hormonal acne for 10+ years and tried EVERYTHING.
Stay away from birth control and accutane, those are only bandaids.
It’s all gut health, maybe an excess of vitamin b12, pore cloggers in skincare and makeup, etc.
My main triggers are b12 in vitamins and pore cloggers… I could talk about this and acne solutions for hours lol, but those are just a few things that hopefully help:)

I suffered with horrible acne in 2020 out of nowhere and it destroyed my self confidence and mental health. Dealing with people who think they’re giving skincare advice, when really that’s the last thing you want to hear bc you’re already trying everything. Also did not want to look at myself in the mirror at all. But I promise it gets better with time 💛 Hoping you figure out what’s going on internally and wishing you only positivity on this journey ✨

I love hearing you talk about acne because you have such a mature point of view. I've been struggling with acne all throughout high school (I'm a senior now) and I decided to do Accutane so it's done before college. It worked wonders for my brother when he did it a few years back at the same age, and it was just hurting my self-image and mental health way too much. It definitely isn't for everyone though, since it is a serious medication that does put your body through a lot. I think it's great you want to solve the problem from within, and you've definitely inspired me. I've always had some gut problems and I tried to fix them but my acne still stayed (don't be discouraged lol I just have bad genetics), but I think once I'm done with Accutane I'll recover my body well by improving my gut health! Anyway enough of me rambling on, I just want to say thank you, from one woman to another, for showing that acne is normal and doesn't make anyone less beautiful or worthy. You are a wonderful role model. Bless xx

I know everyone’s skin/body is different, but as someone who had acne starting in my teens and throughout my 20s and met with doctors, tried treatments and diets, and all sorts of skin care/acne products to address my acne… what ended up working was simply using a basic face wash to clean my face 1x daily (Vanicream) and then a basic moisturizer/SPF (Cerave). I feel like we can end up overwashing and over treating acne, and it was wild how stripping it back to the most basic skin ingredients and skin routine made a world of difference. Best of luck to all acne sufferers - it can be a rough journey ❤

I am a male in my early twenties. I appreciate you sharing your experience and I hope you document the journey to healthier skin, it could really help others going through the same. I went on acutane over a year ago and I actually regret it myself. It ended up causing other health related issues since I had dry eye syndrome that I was not aware of before I began treatment. Plus I recently experienced my first bad breakout post acutane which was so discouraging after the entire process of being on it. I am now working with my eye doctor to attack my dry eye and acne problems with Intense Pulsed Light therapy, and have my first session starting in January. I am hoping this can be a solution for myself, and I hope you can find the answers you are looking for!

    • @crazykyle6459
      @crazykyle6459 6 днів тому

Like you mentioned, acutane should be a last resort option for those considering it. It real does put your body through hell, and the purging phase for me lasted months. I consider some of those months to be my lowest. It messes with your hormones a lot, and caused me back pain as well as worsened my dry eye syndrome. I did see results at the end, but acne like hormonal acne can always come back. I would suggest looking for healthier alternatives like Hannah is doing, and take a look at more natural ways of solving the issue first.

I was also struggling with acne when I was in high school and It was so stressful. It was so bad at the moment that my skin looked kinda bumpy and not supple at all. What really helped me was not touching my skin with dirty hands. The other one is doing modeling masks which can calm your skin. Good food and a good sleep routine are so important. But still, I get some inflammatory acne sometimes but not that bad. I totally get the stress of acne because sometimes I can't figure out the reason why this happens. I love your positivity:) I am sure that you will be okay at the end. I hope you have a wonderful December. Stay safe and love you!

Hannah! I also suffer from acne! But I have a remedy that my grandmother taught me to treat acne! It's a cleansing broth! With onion, cabbage and celery! It works very well to disinfect the liver and hydrate the skin, since acne is often caused by dehydration! You just have to dirink it!!!

I went through something very similar with acne about a year ago (age 23) , and I went on Accutane which has literally changed my skin completely. I’m from Minnesota and was worried because it can be so drying and hard on my body, but with aquaphor and neutrogena hydroblast I was able to maintain hydrated skin and thankfully had no other issues. I also told my dermatologist I did not want to try all the things they recommended before and that I just wanted to go right on it. So what happened was I went on a topical antibiotic med for a month and then went on Accutane for a year and have not experienced anything near to what I had experienced! I’m sure you will find something that works for you soon, thank you for always being so transparent in your videos especially on soemthing so many of us struggle with! Happy holidays! 🎄✨🤍

Hi! I’m 21 and have struggled with very acne prone skin since middle school. I started taking this supplement that is called Wellness Formula. They sell it at Whole Foods and people usually use it if they’re wanting like a wellness boost or getting sick. But it’s genuinely cleared up my skin. Also, I have always broken out from most skincare products so I’ve tried more natural things like Manuka honey masks with crushed fresh turmeric and vitamin e oil helps with scarring!! I just get a little bottle from Whole Foods and it’s pure vitamin e oil! I feel like more natural things end up helping your skin way more in the long term. I know how much this sick so I hope you’re able to find what’s impacting your skin

Dermatologists told me for years that I had eczema which caused dry skin on my face but it wasn't until recently that I discovered on my own that it was psoriasis. Since then I've changed my skin care routine to target that--I've started using Dermazen's products (the cleanser and serum has calmed my face) and have seen a noticeable difference. I am a firm believer in less is more--I only wash my face with the cleaner/serum at night and just use water in the morning. Doing this for a while has allowed my skin to naturally heal. I have super sensitive skin and found that using any intense treatment like facials really irritates my skin. I also tried using silk pillowcases but found it actually makes my skin more oily than a regular pillowcase. Everyone's skin is so different but small changes have really made a big difference!

I had severe adult acne WELL into my 20’s and tried EVERYTHING to fix it. One day I impulse-bought some $7 lancing tools at Sierra and started getting rid of my whiteheads with them. It genuinely fixed 95% of my acne for me! Highly recommend!

Taking Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is the ONLY thing that cleared my acne. It was so stubborn and bad enough that my dermatologist suggested accutane but I just didn't want to deal with the negative side effects. I take 3 1000mg vitamins a day and my skin is close to perfect now! (and no side effects whatsoever) You should look into it :)

I did accutane when I was 21 & I def wish I would’ve done it before!! I was also scared of accutane but it’s not bad like the side effects were worth it for me personally... if not..go carnivore!!!!!!! High protein low carb will get that gut in check

I know dealing with acne can be tough. It may have to do with your candida. I think it is very important to get lab work done. If you are willing to you might want to look into frequency healing and rife machine which is a type of naturopathic/homeopathic medicine. You could take candida supplements and tinctures which are completely safe. I have had friends who have bought their own rife machines for their family due to acne. The Rife Machine also heals a lot of other things as well through frequencies. It is a big commitment and it will take time but it is more of a permanent healing process if you do it right.

honestly i think its very smart you're not on acutane i have only heard terrible things that people go through emotionally. But if i could reccomend something I think icing your skin would help a bit with the redness

I tried so many creams and pills for my acne-it was definitely hormonal or gut related but the only thing that worked was low dose Accutane. I wish I had the patience to do it holistically and found out the root of the problem!

i’ve been struggling soo badly this year with acne!! it’s like the worst it’s been and i’m 26… I feel like I try everything but also don’t always keep up with it so it’s like my own fault? :( I think my period and stress levels affect me and I struggle with eczema too.. dairy really hurts me in every way so I try to limit that and drink more water and change my pillow cases more 😅 ugh i wish I could afford seeing specialists!!

So excited to see you posted! I love love love your Christmas videos! I was in the exact same spot with my acne for years and mine looked literally exactly like yours! I tried EVERYTHING. Every skincare product and active, not washing my face, washing it twice a day, adapalene, antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide… it goes on and on. I cut out gluten for two months, drank bone broth everyday, ate healthier, and that seemed to help a little but not fully. I am super interested to see how the holistic doctor helps, I always thought about going to see one! I would love to hear what all you end up trying and what helps! The only thing that’s worked the best so far was birth control and spironolactone and a super simple skincare routine. I just hate the idea of being on medicines for long term but my acne was taking a severe toll on my mental health so I it was worth it to me for the time being. I used to put some skin content on my channel about my skin journey because I needed the community and support so I’m really glad to see you posting about your acne and being vulnerable! Sending all the love ❤️
