OK, after commenting on this video, I realized, this doesn't say Stryper anywhere. So this is just a Michael Sweet | Alessandro Del Vecchio tune???
Michael Sweet is one of the most underrated metal vocalists. Still singing the same way he did since back in the eighties. I was lucky to go at a couple Stryper concerts. The yellow and black attack were in their own music genre.
Michael Sweet is very well known and admired for his contribution with all of his side projects by many followers, not even counting Stryper, who I have also seen several times (first in 1986). He is not underrated but rather well received and has thousands of fans worldwide, both fans and musicians alike. I think when you say underrated that you are actually confirming your admiration for his extraordinary talent, as we all do. I'm always glad to see that Michael does not sway but remains strong in his conviction to God.
Been a fan of Michael Sweet ever since I heard Stryper back in the mid 1980's. It's incredible the talent this man has , first Stryper , then lead singer for Boston for awhile. Then he hooks up with George Lynch to form Sweet-Lynch , now he's fronting SoleDriver. I met Michael and had lunch with him and my friend back in 1988 in NYC. We knew what hotel he was staying at after a show at Radio City Music Hall. We went to the hotel the next day and Michael walked out about a hour later and asked us if we wanted to join him for lunch , of course we said sure. We ate at a nearby deli , don't remember the name of it.

Michael is at the top of the list of most underrated singers/guitarists/frontmen. He's at the top of my list of inspirations

This song transports me back to a youthful time when music was important. I hear my best days past in every hook and melody. I find AOR melodic metal to be THE Best pit stop for my musical tastes. Michael actually sounds really great in this style. This is in my opinion the most fantastic his vocals have ever sounded. I just love this style of music, it is my cup of tea. The guitars are so so wonderful! That guy blazes them six strings....my fave part is ALL of it! Michael and all involved did STELLAR work!

Awesome song!! Beautiful Grand Canyon scenes! Hard to believe though, back in the i think '50 ' or '60's there was TWA airlines plane that mid air crashed into another plane and they both crash landed somewhere in the Grand canyon I believe that I saw on a documentary last night on tv. I don't think anyone survived either. 😢

Love the keyboard patch. It hooked me in right away. Has an authentic 80's Loverboy / Foreigner vibe. Vox are awesome as usual. Mike's voice stronger every year. Great hooks. Im not familiar with Al but guitar is solid lots of good stuff a little dream theater vibe there. Ive listened to it several times today and catch myself humming the chorus melody another MS earworm. Mike is pumping out hits with multiple bands, touring,recording and making new stuff not just playing from a 40 year old catalog. Shredding on guitar, still killing it on vocals, making new generations of fans. How many musician from the 80's are doing that? Most haven't made new songs in decades and the ones still performing can barely sing the songs. At 60 this guy is obviously still hasn't lost his passion for making music and can deliver. Way to go Mike and Al. Congrats !Looking forward to hearing more of this project.Would be great to see this get some radio airplay.

Very cool song! I like Michael Sweet's voice better when he's singing powerful without trying to grit up his vocals! I'm a singer too, so I understand the desire to do it, his voice is just BETTER without it. The fact that he avoided it mostly until this last decade is probably why that voice is still so amazing!
THE GUITAR!!!! I am not very familiar with the player, but the guitar immediately got my attention. It was beautiful and I want one like it!!! Lol. The playing and sound were great! Everything in the song SERVED the song! I hear people talk about doing that a lot lately, and I think this song is a PERFECT example of it!

Thank you! The guitar has never been my main instrument, but since I'm a multi instrumentalist I always play for the song and the melodic part of it. I wish I were one of those flashy mega skilled players that can work out on that guitar neck like anybody else, but in all honesty, my favorite players have always been doing this, playing solos that are a song within the song.
@delvecchioalessandro Those are my favorite players as well, with a little chugging heavy groove guitar players in there too, like Hetfield and Mick Mars around Feelgood and the Motley Crue self-titled album!
