Unconditional surrender..was a joke..just my opinion..they should have fried every damn one who took part in Unit 731 experiments...and made leader of Japan assume ROOM TEMPERATURE..in front of a live audience!!..they let them get away with inhumane treatment of POW'S

Unit 731 is an "insect control unit" to provide soldiers with clean drinking water. As the Chinese Communist Party produced propaganda, 731 units are only said to be bad. If it's a cruelty, what is the crime of an American soldier who broke up the bodies of Axis's soldiers, simmered their bodies and made bones a collection?

Over 2000 Japanese commanders were hung after WW2. And 2 cities full of women and children reduced to rubble, literally dying agonisingly slow deaths. Toddlers screaming for hours and hours as their skin melted off. It was apparently pretty intense.

Japanese Prime Minister Abe said that "invasion" is a relative meaning.
In other words, Japan became a war criminal because Japan lost the war, and if Japan won, the attack on Pearl Harbor or the invasion of Asia is not a crime.
The problem is that countless "friendly, good-natured," Japanese citizens have the same idea.
The German citizens of World War II were also 'the best ladies and gentlemen' personally.

Fear of the unknown fosters preventative measures. In hindsight, it may have been overreaction. In the.reality of the time, it was a necessary wartime expedient. In that time, when you could kill a black man and get away with it, the internment probably saved many innocent lives. It was raw, total war and we couldn't tolerate any possibility of any kind of civil uprising. You'd have had to be living in that moment, with its reality and its unknowns, to understand.

My grandad was in the Royal Navy he was in Malta and when the Japanese surrendered he helped repatriate the POWs. He hated the Japanese for the rest of his life. My dad was in the RAF and we were stationed at RAF Gatow in the early 70s. My Nan and grandad gave over to stay. One day we were all out for a walk, my grandad went in a beer house and my dad found his talking to a Kriegsmarine. Apparently they had a few beers and my dad was interpreting between them.

They surrendered not because they don't want to die but only because their emperor ordered to cease the war. If you have eyes to discern the evil from the righteous tell me the righteous eyes from evil ones. I know how much they wanted to continue until every one of them die the death of a warrior. Such people can neither brutal nor savage.

The Japanese did such horrible torture like the Germans did. In the end , the Americans , British, Russians , French gave a payback load. If the world never learned from these experiences, no one has learned a good lesson. Chinese have said , China does "secret torture." - hope it is not true.

Sorry, buddy. We are walking on the same road, as we speak. Propaganda, lies, at the highest levels; complete delusion and tyranny, and this time, it is the west. This is an affliction of the nature of humans, not relegated to a period of history, although it would be much easier for you, to allow people like me to live with this truth, as you continue to pretend, it’s not happening. Again. Which group would you fall into, do you think, during Nazi Germany? Would you have seen it coming? Would you have complied? Would you separate yourself from people like me, who spoke out, were shunned, and isolated? Would you opt for self preservation at the expense of others?

Japan was done for when the war in Europe ended. Without the Atomic bombs America would of had a high KIA but the streets of Japan would of ran red with blood of innocent Japanese. Then you would of had the Soviets coming from the other direction. Japan probably would of never recovered as it did.

Operation Ichi-Go is an operation conducted by the Japanese Army on the Chinese mainland from April 17th to December 10th, 1944 during the Sino-Japanese War.
It was the last major offensive of the Japanese Army, which caused the National Revolutionary Army to be hit hard and affected during the Chinese Civil War.
However, on the other hand, the United States is also mediating the conclusion of the Double Tenth Agreement with Chiang Kai-shek in order to avoid a civil war.
According to a study by Barbara W. Tuchman, the results of this operation had a more significant impact on the subsequent war situation than the Japanese had imagined, and had a decisive impact on Japan's fate. According to it, Franklin Roosevelt has consistently strongly trusted and supported Chiang Kai-shek since the beginning of the war, and encouraged him in the war against Japan so that he would not drop out of the Allies in a single peace with Japan during the Cairo Conference. However, he said that he changed his mind because the front of Chiang Kai-shek collapsed due to this operation. In fact, Chiang Kai-shek has not been invited to important Allied conferences ("Yalta Conference" and "Potsdam Conference") since then.
According to the Stilwell document, Roosevelt said, "Can China win?" Stilwell said, "There is no choice but to eliminate Chiang Kai-shek." During the 1944 Hengyang battle, he could not sleep at night and twice. He says he thought about suicide. The American side also planned to assassinate Chiang Kai-shek, and three methods of "poisoning", "aircraft incident", and "pretending to be suicide" were considered, but it was canceled in 1944 due to changes in the international situation such as Burma. The successor that the United States envisioned is Sun Fountain.
As Roosevelt's Chief of Staff George Marshall and General Joseph Stilwell have long insisted, Chiang Kai-shek's army is actually a demoralized and corrupt organization that does not form an army. It became clear that he had no desire or ability to fight with the United States and other Allied forces.
As a result, President Roosevelt changed the scenario of the operation against Japan from the conventional bombing of Japan and other countries from the air bases of mainland China to the one that MacArthur and others claimed to occupy the islands of the Pacific Ocean one after another.
China was dismissed at the Yalta Conference, and the Allied nation's footsteps were disturbed, with angry Chiang Kai-shek presenting a peace plan to Japan against the will of the United States.
In the Japan-US negotiations, Japan's allegations were peace by the confluence of Wang Jingwei of the Nanjing government and Chiang Kai-shek of the Chongqing government, and a proposal for defense from communism jointly by Japan and China. The US allegation was the withdrawal of Japanese troops from China, admitting only the Chongqing government. The negotiations broke down and the United States stopped oil, resulting in a war between Japan and the United States.
The Japanese Operation Ichi-Go attack left the National Revolutionary Army with 750,000 casualties. This caused the Kuomintang to lose to the Communist Party in the civil war. China would not have been dominated by the dictatorship Communist Party if it had made peace with Japan and cooperated in protecting it from communism.

That’s easier said than done, if you experienced the sadistic torture, deliberate starvation, and horrendous abuse at the hands of Japanese soldiers for 3 years in a POW camp. Don’t you think this would place a life sentence, upon the few who survived? Read the memoirs. See if you can toss out a comment like this, the same way, after. I don’t think anyone has the right to tell someone how to feel about the people who tortured them.
