This song reminds me of the fact that even though some soldiers have returned home and left the military some never truly leave the battlefield. There is always a part of them that is still trapped there always fighting.

For anyone who is going to comment that the punishers is a Marine not a Solider, please remember 1.its a song that makes comparison between the life of a military man and his duty and hardships. 2.Frank Castle is a fictional character that is constantly called a solider in the comics and was labeled a marine even though he served conically in the army. He is called a marine because being a marine especially in the American military is considered extremely difficult and dangerous. And people who write comic usually don’t serve in the military, which mean that they don’t understand the difference between a soldier and the plethora of other terms for military officers.
Also Soldier is a term much older than the US military or any organized armed force. The word is originated from Latin "Sal" that means salt, because salt was super precious back in the day and it was used to pay Roman legionnaires, so them they became "soldados" someone that works for salt. So doesn't matter the country you are, or the branch, someone that fights for and military organization is technically a soldier.
There's no problem in calling a Marine a soldier, its the official title of your job. And it's an all encompassing term, regardless what branch or country you hail from. The only time you don't call a Marine a Marine is if he's been dishonorably discharged.

Future Marine here! I'm just letting people know, Marines are still soldiers at the end of the day. They're the soldiers of the sea. The soldiers and defenders of our greatest assets and Navy. They are Marines but are still soldiers within the basis of military boundaries. But they are still Marines as well in other contexts. Marines will always have they're own note about who they are.
