Following you guys on your journey and sharing with my good lady, am trying to convince her this type of experience is for us. Shannon, thank you for being open and honest about the trials of such an adventure, boys...back your mom up!😂 Just joking. Not joking.😂 Stay safe and much love from Yorkshire, UK.x
Fun to watch your family get into the cruising mode, A little criticism on the fishing off the sugar scoop is that you should have your life vests on and tethered in. I watched Kirk on LA VITA JYPSEA fall of the back of their cat in one of their earlier episodes.safety is paramount on a boat.great video thanks for sharing your adventure
Shannon you are doing a great job learning the ropes of this boating life. You ask great questions as you try to get your knowledge base up. Nice to see Davis jump in doing the same. Your family dynamics are fun to watch. You are honest about your ups and downs but you three support each other through it all. Great job!
You have been going to some amazing places, and the water is neat looking. It is always about the journey. Davis knows his fish. What a sailor he is becoming, and looking the part with those sunglasses. Have a great sail.
It’s been years since I was in Eleuthera, but I remember the great beaches. I’d get up early for a walk and snorkel before my dive days. Donate for a Dream
Great job guys! You should do a recap of the places you have enjoyed anchoring since entering the Bahamas. Maybe pros and cons. Be safe and enjoy the ride.😊
Johnny cakes where I am from in Rhode Island is corn meal pancakes. They are supposedly Native American pancakes. Best when they are really thin and crispy. Served with pat of butter and sprinkled sugar.
It should be pointed out that you lose steerage when you’re not going faster than the water is. at the dock, turning the wheel (helm) doesn’t have any effect. If you’re going the same speed as the water. Turning the rudder has no effect. So, if the fastest you can go under power is say 8 kn and the current is 8 kn, then you have no steerage.
A kid boat that must have been exciting for Davis! You all seem to be getting more relaxed and happier as you go along! Just an observation!
We get much happier as we are more comfortable with the boat and things become easier!

I think he is really starting to enjoy it out here. The journey this far has been memorable 😊
Those cuts do seem like exciting boating! So glad you found a kid boat!
Yes!! It’s great cruising with others!

I really wish we would have had time to see them. Will do that on our 2nd lap😊
Tell David to keep that line tight. He has to reel on the down. When he lost that fish he was dropping the tip almost to the bottom before reeling.
Thank you for the tip! We are trying to teach him to do more things for himself, even if it means loosing a fish! He said thank you for the info!

I had that thought too but just trying to get closer to real time. So far I’m about 3-4wks behind. 😊

We are trying!! Thanks for your comment!
Thor lived on Eleuthera
Good to know :)
Shannon...replace your coffee with MUDWATER!! Try it for one month. You WILL NOT be diappointed!!
I’ve seen that but need to look into that further. Not having my coffee during crossings is NOT fun!
Couldn’t exit for Sunday morning video release.
