Great video and great length. Better we receive shorter videos on a regular basis than longer but infrequent ones. Even if it's a 5-minute video with a quick idea. I mean, if it starts feeling like homework to you, that won't be good.

Short and to the point. Lots of useful information. I'm always happy when I see there is a new Tony Winston video. BTW, did I understand that you have been learning classical for just a few years? It seems that youngsters often start with classical lessons, and then discover jazz. My favorite classical posting of yours is Bach's F# minor prelude.

I love the sound of your flibberty gibbets. I keep trying to figure out exactly how you roll the chords or the blue notes to get that effect. Maybe as you're doing your current F blues series you could do a tutorial on some of the most common bluesy riffs (some of which are overused but the style calls for it). In the meantime I'm just looping your video and watching your performances. glad you have the Ab major version with your big band, that's the one I'm doing.

I had a question: Motivated by your great lesson, I tried "My funny valentine" in a similar style - as much as my tequnice yet serves it - and I wondered, how does this Maj6 - dim-descending/going up work for a minor chord??

This is a fantastic tutorial. Can someone explain at 1:36 why he refers to all the 6th chords as "C6" -- that doesn't make sense to me. Are they simply chord inversions?
Yes , all are inversions of C6 with a diminished chord in between.
