Personally i think Dough awk is a big loss against Rumble users who mains Fruits, and Dough unawk can counter most mobility-wise fruits like Rumble itself. I suggest trying other fruits that has dashes and can counter-aggressive other fruits, but if you're committed to Dough, have a backup Dough fruit, then switch. It will help so you can gain back your bounty.
Exactly same thing happened to me. I have 8.5m bounty that time, and then a 12m joined (we both using dough) and he jumped me. I ran and aircamp just like you do and he spam "ez" and said "bobo". I then sneak without him realizing and clap him, got bounty, he said "sneak bobo". He jumped me again with one shot combo but luckily I'm a shark user that time so I clap him again got 2/3. Then I try to ran away before he came to me and jump me again, but then he said "run bobo ez" I did the same thing again, sneak him and got 3/3. He raged quit.

its in an old update, back then the level cap was 2400 so the max bounty you get is 16800.
You get up to 17.5k but, let's say the 25M, will lose 32k bounty so you lose more than the person you lost to gets, if that makes sense
