Trejo explained that he saved director Edward James Olmos' life after he claims that a price was put on his head over the movie, adding that Olmos wouldn't speak with him over the controversy. I worked w/a guy who was a lower-level guy in the Mexican Mafia. He told me that Danny Trejo is super respected among "La Eme"....because they know that, while he's an actor who's "all Hollywood," Danny will NEVER disrespect La Eme--and sticks up for them in Hollywood. Although I have never been to prison myself I have huge respect for this guy; he ran with the wrong crowd and ended up in prison and even on death row, then he turned his life around and became a movie and television star. I saw him in Flash and he was good, there was a scene where he is chasing Cisco and Cisco goes to pick up a machete but decides against it; if you have ever seen any or some of his movies you know that is his weapon of choice

I was in a line of fans where we were there for meet and greets, but the end of his time for having to be there was up, we were still in line and long with another probably 50 people and his people told us we’re shutting it down, I was 2nd behind another and the rest of the people were behind me. So he himself saw the line and said cut off the line to where no more people can walk up to it and we’ll let everybody else come and take pictures. Most humbling dude ever. Much love for Trejo

Where I work and I must say from the 2-3 minutes I got to speak with him, he seemed like such a lovely guy who seemed very down to earth and humble!

Early 90's like 91 I think. Just thought that was a cool life story.

Danny T was one of the 1st Speakers I heard in AA in 1988. Freddie M took me to the ‘Romp n Stomp mtg. He is a very humble man. To this day he he will still bring a newcomer into his home and help start their journey. Proud to know him.
