Man, this is just beautifully crafted Can't thank ahoy enough for introducing me to a whole era of music almost forgotten by the general populous. amazing
Ahoy squad represent! I just got done watching and was surprised how much of the music he chose was stuff I recognized from my Mod Archive downloads folder I made back in like 2009 or something. It's good to see tracker music back on the RADAR for so many people. Tracker music and the demoscene was a really unique era.
Hoffmann’s a very nice dude. Met him in Nottingham for the first KickStart Amiga Meetup in July and he was a great lad. He did a set at the after party as well, much beer, much tunes. 👌
@@roosjen That makes the joke funnier. He basically said stuff that would get him on r/lewronggeneration without realizing that this comes from the wrong generation. What's wrong may just actually be right.
The piano loop restarts every three beats - it's not out of sync exactly because it maintains a nice ratio of four piano notes per three beats. It's a polyrhythm, and I think it makes the track a lot more interesting.
h0ffman carefully constructing the best song you'll ever hear in your entire fuckin life in only 4 channels

amazing
same thanks ahoy
Thank you Ahoy
Make sure you watch the demo that goes along with this masterpiece of a song! It's an INCREDIBLE piece of technical coding. Truly mind blowing

Skepp Ahoy!
You listen to it here and it's quite a cool track. But then you watch the demo and together it becomes a stunning masterpiece!
Dear god Paula is such an amazingly powerful sound chip even today. This is bloody incredible
This is what the Amiga was born to play. Paula... take it away....

This tune is just outstanding - and stands to up ANYTHING from today
That’s probably because it’s barely 2 years old :) Edit: oh, you commented in 2019 when it was released, so I guess I missed the joke, my bad!

That tune playing on Amiga hardware is outrageous. A truly outstanding bit of art.
2:40 and on is what you're looking for if you're here from the outro.
i like the first part then the last more
So it was done in DAW and later resampled pretty much... Tune is super great, Burial style :D
I think there is some hints that burial started on super low end hardware by the time and is somewhat inspired by the tracker scene.
@@felixg3 this sounds like Burial itself did the tune ;P
Outstanding, like the demo it's from.
The dopamine hit EVERYTIME! Amazing track!
Masterfully crafted, props to noffman for the amazing beat and the fantastic lead
A remarkably beautiful track! Cheers!
This sounds so uplifting and empowering!

Superb!
i like substance... hehehe. ^^ HOFFMAN!
Impressive!
Perfect.
This helped calm me down for a stressful assignment that was annoying me for hours. Props.
I see those volume commands on the strings to emulate a bus compressor. Sneaky.
Awesome!
burial-like :)
So thats why I had to search for it
*H0ffman
why is the beat of the piano? that destroys the experience for me
If you are referring to the arpeggio not being in sync with the rest of the rhythm then I feel the same
@@whitestork3896 you did chose very wisely the correct words for a feeling that did stuck in my belly.

@@AMathMonkey Finally someone who understands it, these NOOBS can't deal with something they are not used to LOL
@@AMathMonkey isnt it a polymeter?
