My condolences to the family of Matthew Mason, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Another great news broadcast gentleman. Thank you and keep up the great work 💪
IP rating of a wheely bin. There is an argument for saying it doesn't have one because the manufacturer hasn't tested it and stamped on an IP number. However, if you look at the IP scale, I would suggest it is probably the equivalent of being rated to IP65, or possibly even IP66, so long as the lid is shut.
@@deang5622 sorry I was joking on my comment. Yes I could be made into Ip66 but would take more hassle with securing the lid and securing the bin to not fall or get knocked

Our sincerest condolences Dave, there's just too many of these stories around and it's heartbreaking. We hope that responsible people take warnings from them and improve working practices on site.
My dad's friend got electrocuted because of a Livewire they isolated the mains power but they forgot to isolate the solar and he hit a live cable from the solar panels and it killed him
I reckon that's what I'd have said, too. I'm pleased someone got there before me: I've just got my branded Lock Off from last week's guess (thanks eFixx!): first use is keeping the biscuits safe! 😀
230 volt mains, not 240 volts. Nominal voltage is 230 in this country. So we should always refer to the nominal voltage not the nominal voltage it used to be years ago. Now I know the actual measured voltage is typically 240 volts but that is mostly not important, unless we have measured the actual voltage and we are doing calculations with the actual voltage on the line.

Agreed Sean, just tragic really. 😔
It's crazy how the government gets more money from the man's death then his own family
Not surprised at all by this !
Yeah I was gonna say that is nuts!

Such a sad story isn't it? 😔
Did someone drill through the bottom of the wheelie bin to fit the cables?
Just wondering what the ip rating of a wheelie bin is
Lid's removable without a tool Paul! 😂
@@efixx A tool was definitely employed to put the cabling in the bin.
@@retrozmachine1189Gloves aren't considered a tool.

Thank you for the latest update!!
... How does this even happen? Isn't it connected somewhere outside of the bin making it obvious? Kitchen fitter behaviour.
Well it couldn’t possibly be live if wasn’t connected outside the bin
Reminds me of a trick I used to pull in lessons to demonstrate capacitance using a reel of T&E! 😂

Great news edition as always Joe, still mossing regulation corner though. And thanks for the win 👊
Ah, thanks Sean. Yeah I might have to dust off the old regs book for a Regulation Corner soon. Watch this space. 😊
