  • Shared some simple care tips about crown of thorns or euphorbia crown of thorns plant. Scientific name is euphorbia milii. The crown of thorns plant produces flowers all over the year but some 2 simple care tips make crown of thorns plant bloom within 20-25 days or 3 weeks. Also you will get the guidelines about how to grow crown of thorns.
The crown of thorns plant showed in the video is propagated from a single cutting which I also shared through a video which was how to propagate crown of thorns plant. And by maintaining some requirement of this euphorbia milii plant make it bloom intensively and that shared in this video. Overall its a crown of thorns plant care tips video.
    *General Care Tips*
    1. Potting Mix
Shared a video about Perfect Potting Mix for Cactus & Succulent 👉 • Make Perfect Potting M...
But for making the potting mix of my plant, I mixed up 1 part garden soil or loamy soil, 1/2 part compost, 1/2 part brick chips, 1/2 part fine Sand, and 1/2 part charcoal which also drains out excess water.
    2. Sunlight
Provide around 3-4 hours of direct morning sun or 3 hours of the late afternoon sun, it will grow vigorously and give unstoppable flowers.
    3. Watering
They do not require lots of water. Water only when about 70% of the soil dries out. and you can observe that by inserting a stick.
Enter a long stick and after pulling out, if it's not holding any soil, water thoroughly otherwise skip watering.
    4. Pest Control
Susceptible to Mealybugs and Scale insects. Use neem oil once every 7 days.
    5. Propagation

Good video. I've had my crown of thrones for over 2 years and only produced 2-3 flowers awhile back. Nothing since. I have it in direct sun, cactus and succulent soil, don't water often until dry. I get lots and lots of green foliage but no blooms. What can I do to have blooms? Otherwise very healthy minus the blooms.

6-8 inches pots are much better to use because their roots do not distribute much.🌻🌻

This plant is quite toxic. The sap and the thorns (though these are not the real thorns) can cause irritation if come in contact with the skin. 😓

You can propagate any time of the year, but monsoon and spring are the best times to grow euphorbias from cuttings. 🌿🌿🌿

How to put water on euphorbia milli plant

    • @Plantalogy
      @Plantalogy  Рік тому +1

When about 50% of the soil will feel dry, water the plant thoroughly. Euphorbia doesn’t require often watering. Watering once a week will be sufficient if doesn't get more than 6 hours of sunlight. 🌻🌻🌱🌱

    • @Plantalogy

Check the soil moisture, sometimes underwatering can curl up the leaves or too much heat can cause such type of problem as well.

Ok. But how do you make it stop so it focuses on growing? My husband killed my splendens, just bought a Thai giant, and that sob is blooming like hell. I just want to make it grow, not flower. That can come after plant mass.
