I just had chit chat with them in Twitter and according to them and the creator there are only 16 ungrateful users and competitors that disses the stupid paywall
I don't get the aggression and attitude they have against their own community who is just giving them feedback. Not the best way to handle critical feedback, all you end up doing is driving people away when they see how you speak to your potential customers who have concerns.
The prices are going to double on 17 April. It's obviously driven by greed which will eventually kill the extension. Definitely a money grab. Thank you for the honest review, very helpful.
I am still using the old version, not going to pay those prices. As you said if the price was reasonable say 5-10 dollars then I would commit. But really the only thing I miss is The Continue, Tone and Writing style options. So to counteract that I just put those in my prompt. You've asked a solid question. Personally I'd go with the ChatGPT Plus subscription. But It really boils down to your individual needs and how extensively you use ChatGPT. The AIPRM premium plans come with an array of enhanced features that could make your writing experience more streamlined and efficient. If you're frequently using the Chrome Extension, this might be a worthy investment. Conversely, if you're looking to use ChatGPT in a broader scope beyond the Chrome Extension, then opting directly for the $20 plan with ChatGPT might be a more fitting choice. Take into consideration your unique usage, budget, and requirements before making a decision. I hope this perspective is helpful for you.
It's really unfortunate because they had a great product and an amazing opportunity and I wanted to see them win. There is still tomorrow so who knows, maybe they'll listen to feedback from the community of users and make appropriate adjustments.
In the new premium version writing style and tones are cut down to one. If you want all of the writing styles and tones you need to pay 20 dollars. In the previous (old) version all writing styles are still in place. The old version also has an "unusual amount of maintenance" downtime. I wonder how long it will take before they write a message that the old free version will be to much work to maintain and will we deprecated. Forcing you to install the new stripped version with features that were free that are now behind a paywall.
@@fencerven With a bit of work I could rebuild the aiprm extension for chrome and safari and restoring the basic functionality like prompts, writing styles and tones. In the end it's only a JSON file with data that needs to be extracted. If enough people are interested I could work on that.
I think you're right on the money with this one. The thing is, a more controlled pricing structure could actually lead to more customers and increased profits. Let's hope they come to see that soon.
One person's lazy is another person's efficient! I think the extension is like having a personal cheerleader for your prompt writing and engineering. It's there to give you encouragement and ideas when you need it most. 😆 But I do agree it has been overpriced significantly for what it is, and the many other free options available.
You're right. I also hope the prompt writers can monetise the prompts they submit because AIPRM is feeding off the community via UGC without any form of reward to the writers I believe. They wouldn't have that many users if they started charging in the first place but they've pulled the crowd now and are exploiting us. Robbery in day light.
I think in their mind, the reward to the writer is the link they let you put along with the prompt. Would be interesting to see how much traffic that actually generates for popular prompts in their library.
Thanks for sharing your insights and the potential workaround! Yes, after you run a prompt, you can view the actual prompt in the history section on the left panel.
Huge "money grab" with this chrome extension. The Pro version has now gone from $20 to $29 a month!!!! That makes it more expensive than ChatGPT itself and from what I've been reading don't give nowhere near the same value as the paid version of ChatGPT! I have since gotten rid of AIPRM after watching this video and seeing the more expensive rate since they first began to move to the paid subscription version.
I totally understand your frustration. The costs seem to be getting quite extreme. I would recommend checking out HARPA AI. It's an excellent alternative that's entirely free, and what's more, it works everywhere in your browser. A remarkable feature of HARPA AI is its ability to use the webpage you're currently on as background context for the prompts you give it. This adds a level of versatility and relevance that you may find very beneficial. I hope this helps!
What do you think of the new AIPRM Premium plans?
Are they worth the price for these features? 🤔

Awesome job with gathering all the prompts into a convenient list! 🔥

so whats in the AIPRM Titan? blueprints for the terminator?
Your comment about the AIPRM Titan gave me a good chuckle! Definitely a blueprint to printing cash.
Is it better to go AIPRM or ChatGPT directly for the 20 plan.

this is extremely helpful
I saw the artificial limits and pricing, then opted right out.

Looks like they're following the 'if it ain't broke, break it and charge for the fix' approach. 😁
They've already limited it

Actually it may be a good thing. We need to master prompt writing anyway. This extension just keeps you lazy. No way I pay $20 a month for this.

Just reverse engineer the prompts if they want to hold people hostage
Thanks for sharing your insights and the potential workaround! Yes, after you run a prompt, you can view the actual prompt in the history section on the left panel.
Aiprm hides that info now. You can just ask chat GPT to reverse engineer the prompt. The prompts still work. Aiprm is a scam in my opinion.
Where are the competitor's?
Checkout harpa.ai/, its my new favorite extension that is powered by chatGPT.
Playing around with Harpa now, very good!!!@@StackBounty
