I'm surprised that the Flat Earther even attempted the challenge! And only off by a distance nearly as big as the width of the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii.) For that crew, I'm actually impressed! 🤣🤣
When will the new scope be revealed on stream/video? I know there were some problems and I hope you sorted them out. Cheers PS I don't own a telescope, my friend does, and I find the hobby fascinating as of late, alto a bit pricey. Cheers
Interesting. Obviously, the star sighted is in the nighttime sky. The sidereal hour angle to Aries could put Hamal in the daytime sky. Also is that if you're not near Hawaii that means with the same measurements you must be in the Spain position.
another thing you might not have picked up on. The 'ship's time' was listed as GMT-7. That is CALIFORNIA time, not Hawaii. The ship's clock was obviously set at the departure port, not to local solar noon. Hawaii is GMT-10 so the 7:55 sight was actually at 4:55 local. Sunrise on July 21 is about 6am local so the sight would have been at the beginning of Nautical Twilight about an hour before sunrise...
I'm surprised that _any_ flerf even attempted to do thus challenge. What did he say when he was informed how far off he was? I bet that response was... interesting.
We all know the flerfs don't have the money to actually test their claims. So Lokifish Mars has a free sextant for a fler on certain conditions, like actually using it to do some readings to demonstrate its use. Maybe bring this to the attention of those poor flerfs.

He did it by time zone. Ships time was on California rather than local time. Michigan is -4 GMT California IS -7
I thought you needed a flat adjacent… lol. Poor fluffers are in so much trouble.
I prefer my adjacents curvy 😉
@@dogwalker666 rotfl! The best adjacent

Nice. So "Save" on the Ruler tool creates that shape on the Google Earth. That saves a bit of effort instead of using Add path.
Yep
I like that your videos are available on multiple channels. I definitely watch them more than once and learn something new each time.
I agree.

Star sights are done during nautical twilight
@@ShamrockBanksObservatory I missed that in your lectures sorry.

@@ShamrockBanksObservatory I wouldn't unless need a serious study. Then the globe is in the details.

There are free sextant apps for smart phones.
@@scott_meyer But those contain illuminati flat to globe code. Keep this a secret please.
@@doranku That's right. Any electronic too, except DITRH's app, contains secret Masonic code as well.
