Thanks Bruce for acknowledging Jet's skills, pity the shadows never invited him back to play with them. Jet was a real pioneer coaching Jimmy page and John Paul Jones of Led Zep in the early days
You have to admire Jack Good and whoever his sound engineer was for getting the wonderful sound of the Bass VI on Jet's original recording. Alan Jones' sound here is not remotely as good but, to be fair, Jet's on live gigs was not as good either. I wish I could make my Bass VI sound as good as those on the very early Jet recordings. Any tips anyone?
Jet Harris,Alan Jones and Mark Griffiths are the reason i started playing the bass guitar.
Way to go Alan Jones. He was a great bass player with the shads.
That was super groovy!
Well done Bruce.
