To be honest mate I’m stuck I got kicked out of school at 14 and have no qualifications and don’t do good in a school setting I feel like I’m forced to join the army I can relate to a lot of what you are saying about your up bringing I’ve had the same sort of experiences with death and near death experiences and coming from a poor working class family. I’m from Manchester tameside (you mentioned audenshaw so I thought I’d say) my grandad served in the falklands he always says don’t join because it’s not worth it. But what else can I do get a job at Asda or McDonald’s for the rest of my life on minimum wage I believe I’m self taught in a lot of things but I have no official qualifications but I don’t think I would do good in college. What should I do then if not the army?
Go to a building site and ask for a job cleaning. Watch the plasterers, brick layers offer to mix for them, watch and learn. I can do plumbing, plastering, brick laying, wire up a house, cavity wall insulation, damp proofing, cooking and I am still learning new things at 69. I am into mig/tig welding at the moment doing art work and gates, only learnt on UA-cam.
Watching all your videos is inspiring and I likewise am free from the Army. I got out sharpish as its a different Army now, at least they're now issued better Gucci kit but some things never change. It's a very easy job when in times of peace. At least these days. I would agree though. Our politicians don't care about us. Do not become cannon fodder for these parasites. If we had a government worth fighting for my views on the subject would be different. Anyway thanks for your service all the same. You are clearly tough as nails if you got into an SAS regiment.
